hi friends, i would like to know for the maintainance the CIC has given chart of certain amount to show by single applicant. But as there is time period mentioned, i heard some saying for 3months, some even 6 months. But i can show only for a month as i didnt have that much money and the FSW is due to open in a month time....your reply will be really appreciated.

YOu can show a bank certification letter saying how much money you have. Statements are not mandatory initially. But you should keep at least the required amount in your bank continuously after applying since CIC will most likely ask for 6-12 months activity history at some later point.

thanks mate for your reply, but its not possible for me to keep 12000 CAD equivlant of money into account for that long as its not a saving. i need to use it.

As i am showing the amount when submitting the application as per the rules, do they take decision on where the money is available still in the account later on or not??? please clerify as this is the only concern so far.

If they ask to see activity history later on in the application process (which most likely they will), and they find that you have not maintained the minimum amount for the entire time of the history, then they will suspect that its not your own money, which coulld be a basis for rejection.
