Hello,

I have a question. My designation is Network engineer but I do perform the roles of a manager (per CIC NOC description). What should I type in the item no. 13 in IMM 0008 form which says "your current occupation"?

Also, where should I enter the job description so that they know I am doing what they think a manager should be doing?

Thanks,

Hi,
Only doing the role is not enough you should have the designation of manager other wise you application will not be processed. They will return the whole package if your NOC is not in their list.

Designation does't much matter. Try to mention your duties close to that mentioned under 0213 category. Don't directly copy paste them from cic site.

Your duties should be at least 70 - 80% matches with 0213.

Also wait for seniors comment. Seniors. correct where I am wrong.

I also have the same feeling as Mehar that the designation does not matter but the duties do. Especially in the United States, where you work as a contractor, your designation with your employer could be one and you would be doing a totally different work at your clients place like I am doing.

I am an engineer by designation but managing and leading a team and doing more managerial work than is described in 0213 or whatever Manager's NOC code is.
