Interesting link I just found this morning detailing IRCC stats for express entry in 2020.

If that s how they track their working process and success, I understand how it s so fucked up. Looks better to process super fast some of them to balance the super late ones and therefore not to follow any kind of order. Also the 2020 applications are already part of the % of “over 6 months to process” category so no need to hurry let s just keep this % steady.

Anyway, my rant is over sorry for that

Now my first reaction when I read this was 12 months average processing for FSW, am I the unluckiest person to be waiting on my 22nd month?!

then, I read the CBC news report on 1.8 million applications backlog, where 448,000 are PR application, and I realized that 12 months average is bulshit.

if they’ve got 448,000 apps pending on a 107,000 ITAs annually, they have many 2-year-anniversary applications on their hands!

Just for perspective, a friend in US was approved for a closed work permit in Nov 2021. He sent his passport for stamping on 20th November. It was received by the Canadian Embassy on 22nd November and he hasn't received his passport back.
They are taking more than 30 days just to stamp the passport.
I am clueless about what the F is going on.

We did the exact same thing in France (Canadian work permit) for my husband and it only took one day to stamp his visa at Paris VO. I don't know if I should laugh or cry. We are all stuck in Ottawa :/

Like, I am shocked to see that stamping is taking so much time. This should be the easiest/fastest thing for them to do since the entire application is already approved.

I saw in another forum
Someone with Nov aor got copr, but Calgary VO. Except for Ottawa most VOs are still processing. Ottawa seems to be again stopped working. Why can’t they transfer our files if they can’t process to some other Vo. With the new Omicron variant and chance for further lockdowns, really worried now how much more time this would take:(

Is anyone able to answer my question? I never get any response when I post in here.

Once you contacted your local MP, how long did it take them to get an update for you?
