Congratulations to everyone who got the portal email today!!!

please wanted to clarify if anyone has ever gotten an ADR for a declaration form- asking cause my ADR seems quite unusual- I got ADR today 8th dec to submit a section A declaration form, typically I know others have gotten ADRs for POF/ employment letter

Timelines
AOR - feb 2020
GU- medical passed -dec 03,2021
GU- dec 07, 2021
ADR - declaration form Dec 08,2021
Submitted

Yeah, I'd also like to know why they requested IMM5669. Btw, my AOR is also Feb 2020.
Possibly they wanted to see the updated personal/employment history, as our AOR was a long time ago?

Possibly! Fingers crossed hoping for the best

Thank you! Yes, I had a ghost update when my medicals passed on Nov 27th. Life after portal seems strangely weird so far haha. What am I supposed to obsess over now? Lol
Did this portal mail come to your mail box or you had to log in to your ircc account to view it?

Update.

Review of medical results
  • You do not need a medical exam. We will send you a message if this changes.
is this the first update on your application in months ?

Hi everyone, I've received an email from IRCC today. They request the following additional documents:
  1. Schedule A: A separate and newly completed Schedule A Background Declaration form (IM5669) bearing an original signature
  2. Military Records: A certified copy of Military records. If you were exempt, please provide official proof of military exemption from the relevant authority
I'm not sure why they even requested Military Records, as I've never had a military service and never mentioned anything related to it in my application. I don't think I even have a military record, since I've been living outside of my home country since the age of 17. What kind of documents should I provide IRCC with? Or perhaps just an explanatory letter?

Also, according to the ADR letter, they want to receive this within 7 days, or otherwise my "application could be refused as incomplete".

Any advice would be appreciated! @legalfalcon I would really appreciate your opinion on this too!

Based on your country of citizenship or from your profile if IRCC is alerted that you may be related to the military, this request can be sent. If you have no military service, all you have to do is send an email back and let IRCC know that you have never served in the military.

Thanks so much for your response, @legalfalcon!

They actually want me to upload "Military Records" through the CIC Portal. Should I instead just upload an explanatory letter stating that I never had a military service to the CIC Portal?

Also, if I have no military service, do I have to provide them with the "official proof of military exemption from the relevant authority"? I don't have such a document at the moment, and am not sure how to get it, since I'm in Canada right now. In addition, they gave me only 7 days for getting the document + translating it etc.
