There is even a danger that IRCC will repeat what it has done in 2012: cancel backlog applications. They can just say they have not enough resource to process the 2021 EE backlog & they will launch a EE2.0 that will include (and is limited to) the CECs today. The age of outland skilled workers will end.
Now THIS would be wonderful, wouldn't it? lol. Seriously, though, I prefer this to leaving us hanging for so long like this, lost in devastating uncertainty.

It seems most applications in Ottawa CPC have eligibility passed but in Montreal it's not started (files haven't even been opened yet). Anyone seen an approval from Montreal recently?

AOR 5th Dec 2020, FSW inland, Eligibility not even started ( based on August GCMS notes)

Hi Everyone,

One of my friends has a FSW-inland application submitted last December. Eligibility passed and criminality under process for months and the file is in Ottawa. He is now eligible for CEC and wants to submit another application for next draw. Does anyone know if he needs to cancel the other application? Is it even ok if someone has two application in process at the same time? I know that the button to submit your information in order to add your name to draw is no longer available since he has already accepted one invite and has an application in process. Does anyone know what should happen now? Does he need to create a new express entry account?

I personally think it should be fine and the only problem is probably with having two profile in the pool at same time which is not the case here. It would be really great if someone could share their experience with me.

Thanks.

Yes, Ottawa is the fastest one giving most approvals for the last year.
Some people inlands with Etobicoke VO don’t have even Eligibility started after more than 1 year post aor

Ottawa is only processing CEC Inlands mostly. All other VO are also doing the same. FSW Outland people are getting approved, they cannot travel.
the whole system is haywire right now. Ottawa was supposed to be the fastest butis not , specially in our case. Many FSW inland people intros group are seeking to apply again in CEC.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, Ottawa maybe the fastest for CEC applicants. My own application was in process when pandemic hit. As CEC candidate and even in that time with so many unknowns it took 4 months. I don't believe this is the case for FSW applicants though.

I still would appreciate if any FSW-inland applicant in similar situation (applying for CEC) share their experience with me.

Thanks.

What do you mean by FSW outland can't travel? Outland COPRs are allowed to land since June 2021.

Sorry about the incomplete lines, I meant outland people from certain countries that still have flight ban and restrictions like Morocco, India etc. They are working on their files rather than paying attention to us Inlanders who are already waiting for like almost 2 years now. its not that I have something against Outlanders, but we here are too in stress of this whole system.
