when did you apply to bowp?My BOWP was approved today but not the PR application (Feb 2020 AOR)…hope for the best! Congratulations to all those who got their COPRs
same with me , Dec 2020I honestly don't have any Idea what is happening. Medical has been extended in the November. Not further updates from IRCC till date. I see lots of OCT AOR's are getting COPR's but I have absolutely no clue about what is happening with my case. Despite of asking for GCMS notes , Calling MP , status is same as since Nov 2020. does anyone has some Idea about what is happening with IRCC ?

Thank you for your response! One last question, did you ask anything specific in your webform? So I applied on November 11, 2021 and my letter stated that I could work till March 10, 2022. I raised webform around February 23, 2022 so this approval is in response to my webform.
Congratulations! Do you mind sharing briefly about your experience for filling Mandamus? It would be really helpful if you share how you started the process, the associated costs, steps for this process. I am also very interested to know about requirements to start this process. What are the required proofs to show you are eligible to take this path? For example, do you need to show you have done monthly inquires and they didn't answer you?A silent reader of the forum since 2020, the wait is finally over... Sure thing. I ended up filing the mandamus application through the firm Battista Smith Migration Law Group. The process started with a consultation with a lawyer (mine was Nick Woodward, he was top notch) to assess the situation and explain the pros and cons of filing a mandamus.Congratulations! I asked for an extension letter to be able to continue working.Thank you for your response! One last question, did you ask anything specific in your webform?
thank you!
Thank you so much for your detailed explanation. This is very helpful!Sure thing. I ended up filing the mandamus application through the firm Battista Smith Migration Law Group. The process started with a consultation with a lawyer (mine was Nick Woodward, he was top notch) to assess the situation and explain the pros and cons of filing a mandamus.
Then they sent a demand letter to IRCC. After 2 weeks without any response from IRCC, they filed the mandamus application. A couple of weeks later, the DoJ lawyer assigned to the case reached out to my lawyer, saying that they would contact IRCC about the application. A couple of weeks later, the DoJ lawyer mentioned that IRCC would finalize the application within 60 days. Only a few days later, we received the ADR and eventually the portal email, as explained in the timeline.
The overall cost was $2,500. That is pricey, but being at the end of our BOWP, extending it would have cost us $900 (a family of 5) and more waiting, stress etc. So we decided to go with the mandamus.
Every Battista law firm employee I spoke to were friendly, clear and responsive. Great communication (you can see that they understand what we are going through) so highly recommend contacting them.
Whatever path you choose, I really hope the happy end will come soon.
May the force be with you all - including the IRCC staff
