FSW Experience...Help!

Hi there,

I'm looking to apply for PR through the FSW Programme and I am trying to determine if I am eligible. I could use someone with experience or knowledge on the situation.

My main concern is the wording of the hours worked.

I have :

1685 Hours of work in the same job (Skill Class B, NOC Code 5254) accumulated over a period of about 5 years. Most in Canada, some in other countries.

Do these hours need to be accumulated over the period of one year in full time work? OR is it fine that they were accumulated over a longer period of time (within the last 10 years)

Thankyou :)

Pre-Assessed..
From the wording it has to be accumulated over at least 1 year in full-time capacity (52 weeks * 30hrs/week). Notice the word 'continuous'. Experience in Canada need not be 'continuous' over the course of a year.

Minimum requirements
Skilled work experience

Your work experience must be:

at least one year (1,560 hours total / 30 hours per week), continuous full-time or an equal amount in part-time,
paid work (volunteer work, unpaid internships do not count),
in the same job,
within the last 10 years, and
at skill type 0, or skill levels A or B of the 2011 National Occupational Classification (NOC).
Full Time

30 hours/week for 12 months = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)

Thanks for the reply.

Here is my issue with the wording, below it would say.....
Part time

15 hours/week for 24 months = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)
OR
30 hours/week for 12 months at more than one job = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)

Could that go on to be 7.5 hours over 48 months etc?

As the line of work I am in Ski/Snowboard instructing our hours range from 15 a week in quiet times to 40 per week in busy periods. We are in full time employment but without guaranteed hours and for only maybe 4 months out of the year

I think that is a very reasonable point. You would have to do an LOE to explain the seasonal nature of your occupation and how by its very nature this prohibits you from satisfying the wording requirement as it is written.

Thanks very much for the input, really appreciate it.

Wondering if anyone else has any experience in the matter that might shine a light on the subject?
