Hello friends,

I have some quick questions for u??
I can not make decision for my eligibilty for applying under new FSW. In which category (New 38 NOCs) I should apply considering my education and work Ex. described below.

1. Master of Science in Mathematics(UNIVERSITY)
2. Bachelor of Science in Mathematics(UNIVERSITY)
3. Presently working in a Government College as Mathematics Lecturer under Mathematics Department
4. Taking mathematics classes for higher secondary and degree classes for the last 3 years at that college (June 2006 - June 2009)
5. 2 years experience as a mathematics teacher for O and A level classes in an English medium school. (April 2004 - april 2006)

plz can u answer me for my eligibilty.
Waiting for ur answers......

if you have worked as a full time lecturer for more than one year then you can apply under college instructor NOC (or maybe it is university professor). Check which one suits your job experience better and apply under that NOC.

Thanks rupeshhari.......for ur prompt reply.

I have fulltime experience as a Mathematics lecturer for that government college for last 3 years. But I don't have the experience as an Instructor or as a university professor.

Am I belongs to NOC 4131? and it states
4131 College and Other Vocational Instructors
This unit group includes instructors who teach applied arts, academic, technical and vocational subjects to students at community colleges, CEGEPs, agricultural colleges, technical and vocational institutes, language schools and other college level schools. This unit group also includes trainers who are employed by private training establishments, companies, community agencies and governments to deliver internal training or development courses. College teachers who are heads of departments are included in this group[/font].
• mathematics teacher – college level

In the above statement, it is not clear whether I'm eligible for applying or not as I'm not a teacher of any community colleges, CEGEPs, agricultural colleges, technical and vocational institutes, language schools and other college level schools. It is mentioned also "College teachers who are heads of departments are included in this group".
But I'm not the head of the department at present nor before. I'm working as a mathematics lecturer in a general government college teaching the students of higher secondary and degree classes.

Being a college teacher, how can I apply as a university professor ?
Hence, can u help me to find out the accurate category, so that I can apply for FSW ?
waiting for ur kind reply......

As a lecturer, do you lecture? Isn't the government college a tertiary institution of education (i.e. other college level schools).

Thanks rupeshhari,

Now I'm very much clear of all about.

I can apply under "college level school teacher" with a NOC code 4131.
Grateful for ur advice.
