Hi. I am planning to apply for PR this may but I have a query. I would really appreciate if anyone who can help with the answer.

I have a master's and will be the principal applicant and I have the required eligibility points using the eligibility calculations. I would like to know if my husband's education will also be considered even though we have the points without considering his education. As per the new rules it seems the spouse's language skills get 4 points but it does not speak of education.
He has not completed his degree and dropped out in the 3rd year as he had already started working. He now has his own business. Will this be an issue for rejection of the PR that my husband cannot show his education? Please advice...

Hi,

That will not be an issue. For the new FSW, your spouse's education credentials are not required. You can only claim points for your spouse's education if it is obtained in Canada. Since this doesn't apply to you, and that u also don't need any more points, you are good to go.

Thank you for your valuable comments @Namaste. That clears some concern I had it that could be a reason for rejection.

No points for spouse education (if not in canada).. 5 points can be claimed against Spouse IELTS score

Is it required for the spouse to write the IELTS..Iam a principal applicant and got enough points on the board!
