FSW - Education Factor

Dear forum members,

I will be applying soon for FSW under arranged employment as of today I have 70 pts so that makes me eligible to apply right away. I will obtain my degree in June this year. If I apply this month and send my degree to VO in June will I obtain more points for education??
Does anybody know ? Has anyone here sent their degrees AFTER sending their initial application? I would appreciate any feedback.

Yes it would definitely improve your score but since you got 72 points as now so It is all good since you need only 67 to apply. Anyhow you need to get the education credentials assessed before you apply and count points for education accordingly as:

CIC has announced changes to the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), including the introduction of Educational Credential Assessment – a mandatory requirement that Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) principal applicants have their non-Canadian education assessed against education standards in Canada by designated organizations. “

This requirement will take effect in May 2013. The list of organizations authorized to complete ECA reports will be announced in early 2013. Check back regularly for updates on designated organizations and details on how to apply for an Educational Credential Assessment.

Thank you for your reply AYAZ however I will not need to asses my education credential because I plan to apply before MAY 2013 (since I have positive AEO) I want to make my application stronger by adding additional points even though I have more than the required 67 points.
