FSW Category 3

Hello all,

Are there any other people here applying for residency under the old FSW Category 3 (1 years experience in Canada)?

If so, at what stage is your application? I've been trying to work out how they are allocating old Cat 3 applications in terms of quotas etc. ...seeing as our category no longer exists!

Hopefully we haven't been shoved to the back and forgotten about.

I was initially processed under FSW 2, but my COPR had FSW 3 as my immigration category when I landed in Canada. I quit my job in the immigration process, but requested that I be considered under FSW 3 rather than FSW 2.

The letter from the CIO will state your category.

I do not know whether all 3 categories are treated in the same priority. I think that much depends on your visa office, your background checks, whether you are working in Canada already, and your nationality (for the trustworthiness of documents).
