I just came to Canada and started my new job this week, got all the documents ready, and could submit any time, but since the new FSW rules will kick off in Jan, I am worried that priorities will be given to people applying under the new set of rules. As for my case, my score will be approximately the same in the new system, since I have job offer/LMO

What do you guys think?

So nobody is giving any thought on this?
I can't be the only one who already started working here on a work permit...
Anyway, the new rule actually kicks off in May, and I plan to submit my application within the next few days.
If I don't hear anything before next May, I will probably apply again under the new rule, but then I won't have some of the original documents, since the originals will have been submitted with the first application, such as the English test report and etc. I wonder if that's going to create any problems

The new rules do not affect anyone with arranged employment prior to May 4, 2013. So my personal advise, you should not wait at all and apply asap.

Hi,
I've applied under FSW (MI5) August, 2012.
I have a bachelor's degree and 10+ years work experience. Although those are unrelated to my arranged employment, I've passed the initial eligibility review and I got PER.
I didn't get 2nd AOR yet. So I can't say "It's ok"... I don't have a confidence, but as I know some of my friends who have a bachelor's degree unrelated to their job got PR. I've not been hearing that someone whose degree is unrelated to his job was rejected.

Good luck for us...

oh thanks.can anyone explain me about this;

Arranged employment–Skilled workers and professionals
If you have an offer of permanent employment from a Canadian employer, it can improve the chances of your federal skilled worker (FSW) application being approved. A valid offer of employment has to be for full-time and not seasonal work.
Depending on your circumstances, the requirements for a valid offer of employment are different.
1. If you are currently working in Canada: ◦your current employer must have made an offer to give you a permanent job if you are accepted as a FSW; and
2 . your temporary work permit must be valid both when you apply for a permanent resident visa and when the visa is issued

iam as tempearry work permit its only 1 year work permit . expire end of nov 2013.
