Hi. I'm surprised that other people applying from SA haven't replied here!

I am an Indian citizen living and working in SA who has sent the FSWP application on 20th Oct 2014. It reached CIC on 27th Oct 2014.

NOC: 0911 (Manufacturing Managers)

Waiting for cc charge.

I hope we hear from more people applying from South Africa.

I am also Pretoria visa office. App date 11 December Nov 0112 HRMgrs. I having heard any news yet from CIC. Anyone here who applied same time and visa office is Pretoria?

Hello, I am NOC 0112, application received by CIC on Dec 12. CC notification and PER email received on 28 February. I called CIC twice to enquire and was told different things but a week later I received the email. It was a total relief....did you try calling CIC?

Did you call CIC in Canada or Pretoria? Can you share the contact details so I can also attempt to get hold of them?

Hello, I called CIC in Canada. Here is the number +16139444000. I used Viber to call CIC, bought credits for about R 11.00 and it was enough for 2 phone calls to them. Choose option 1 the first couple of times and 3 and 1 again if I'm not mistaken ...you will then be asked for an application number, press the # button, thereafter you will be asked for your date of birth, key it in. Once confirmed you will be placed on hold to talk to an operator. Good luck!

Thanks. I took your advice. Called them. They were only able to comment on status until the application leaves their office. My application has already been sent to Pretoria, so they were unable to comment and requested that I contact the PTA office for any further information. So guess my next port of call is the Pretoria office.

My application was received by CIC on the 17th September 2014. I received PER on the 6th of January. After that nothing comes and my ECAS still saying In Process and the detail is ''We received your application on the 17th September 2014''.

Unfortunately I cannot assist you as my file is on its way to Pretoria. You are ahead of me in the process, perhaps one of the other forumites dealing with the Pretoria office can shed some light. I would also be curious to know how long they take.

You and me both. Mine was received on 18 June 2014 and my ECAS still reflects 1st line update. ''We received your application on the 18 June 2014''. Hence I'm sitting hear also trying to understand whats normal and how long things take. Many around my dates and after my dates have received their visa's, some not. So not sure why some take quicker and others longer. Guess I can just remain hopeful.

Anyone else that could shed light that might be helpful?

I would suggest calling up the Pretoria VO to get an update as you should have received your AOR by now. Good luck and hopefully you will get somewhere.
