Hi,

I know that I don't actually belong in this thread, as I applied for PR under Express Entry. But my processing office is Singapore, and I have a question. Has anyone recently sent a Case Specific Enquiry (CSE) to the Singapore Visa Office (not to Canada)?

I am asking because I attempted to send a CSE yesterday. After clicking the final "Next"button, I was taken to a Confirmation-Success page:

However, I did not ALSO receive a auto email confirmation regarding the CSE just sent.

Is this other people's experience as well? (that is, a web confirmation, but no auto email confirmation). I am asking because, based on my experience of sending CSE to Canada, one should have both (both web confirmation and auto email). So I don't know if the country-specific CSE form is different, or that I need to re-sent the CSE to the Singapore Visa Office.

Thanks.

Can anyone tell me what is current application processing time for SGVO? How to get that information (what is the link to see this info)?

is that must to send passport thru "Canada Visa Application Centre Singapore" upon request or we may send thru registered mail with prepaid waybill for return. please advice if any other method available as VFS is charging so much for this service. thank you.

As per CIC, it is 19 months. But reality is different.

If I have used an agent and want to take a GSMS note with the help of my friend living in Canada. Is there any requirement to involve the agent in the procedure or only duly signed consent form in favor of the friend will be sufficient? Experts please respond.

You can raise GCMS by yourself with help of your friend.

Hello Forum experts ,

We know that PR validity is 5 yrs .Is this calculated from visa issue date (SGVO) or from PR card issue date ?
My visa issue date is 10/09/2015 (and expire should be 10/09/2020 ) .But my PR card expires on 10/09/2021 .
I have to live in Canada at least 2 yrs within 5 yrs .But I am confused which should be my last 2 yrs ?

Regards
Azad

It is calculated from the day you do your medicals.

How many of you are still waiting for updates?

Does anyone know how to link with my CIC account if the applicant is using an representative? Your response is highly appreciated.

I don't think it's possible. Here's a reply I got from IRCC:

"Dear Client,

Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

There could be a few reasons why you were unable to link your application:

1. You entered information that is different from what you submitted on your application

The information you enter to link your application must match what you had on your application when you submitted it. If you updated information after you submitted your application, enter the most recent information we would have on file.
You can try to link an application five times. If you are unsuccessful after five attempts, you will be locked out for 24 hours.

2. An immigration representative is handling your file

If you have hired a representative, only that representative can access the application status through the Authorized Paid Representatives Portal. You must remove the representative from your file to link your application.
If you chose to do so, upload the Use of a Representative (IMM 5476) form to your account, with cancelling the appointment of a representative selected on the form. Once that information is processed, you will be able to access information about your application.
If you need to update your representative information, please visit our website.

3. Our system could be down

Please visit our website.

After attempting to link your account, if you receive the response there are no matches, it could be for two reasons:

1. You entered the information incorrectly

The system will only link your application if the information you enter matches what you had on your application exactly. If you contacted us after you applied and updated any information, provide the most recent information.

2. Your application hasn’t been entered into our system yet

If you applied by mail or in person, it may take some time for it to be entered into the system. Once we have it entered, you will be able to link your application.

If you are still experiencing difficulties, please fill out the IRCC Web form available on our website and choose Technical difficulties located in the drop down menu under the heading Enquiry. Also add the following information:

· Any error messages you received. To do this:
o provide us with screen shots of:
§ the full browser window,
§ the page you are trying to access, and
§ the error message.
· All the answers provided while trying to link your application. To do this:
o once on that page, provide us with screen shots.
Please note that you will not be able to access from a smart phone or an electronic tablet.

Sincerely,

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada
