Yesterday evening i have send a CSE to SGVO regarding AOR. Below is the reply from SGVO..........

Dear Sir / Madam,

Thank you for your enquiry to the Immigration Section of the High Commission of Canada in Singapore.

Your application was received in Singapore on 21 November 2014 and an Acknowledgement of Receipt letter was sent to you 18 December 2014. Your application is currently in a queue awaiting initial review.

Files in the Federal Skilled category are processed in order of receipt, based on the date on which the complete application and fee payment were received in our office. Once the file has been reviewed, we will contact the applicant directly to advise the result of the initial review and/or any next steps in the processing of the application, such as whether an interview will be required. If your address or contact information changes during processing, you must inform this office in writing.

Processing times to finalization may vary depending on the number of new applications received, annual quota and the individual complexity of each application.

For the processing times of permanent resident applications in Singapore, please refer to the CIC website at:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/index.asp

Please note that processing times are calculated from the date the application is received by the Singapore visa office.

Applicants can check the status of their case on the CIC website by clicking on Client Application Status.

We hope this information will be of assistance.

At 8.30 AM BD time i received AOR. But this msg is for those who didn't receive AOR and doesn't know the status and in high tension. Pls simply raise a CSE. Just ask them like this "DEAR SIR PLEASE GIVE ME THE STATUS OF MY APPLICATION". Just one line. Don't write anything extra.

Sis, thanks for sharing such informative msg. One of the key msgs in the reply is that there is annual quota involved with finalization of application. So those, who are waiting for next step, will certainly get some good news in the new year ahead....Good Luck

Yes, well written and understood, but the quota is for granting a certain (maximum) number of visas in a given year, not for taking the act of processing to a deeper level. So, why cannot they just ask for medical, RPRF, and passports from us now? :( I would love them to take my passport, medical results, and RPRF fees this year and keep all those with them and give them the honour of taking their time and issue a "maple leaf" in their own convenient time next year! That way, at least, I would rest assured knowing that sometime next year I will get it.

At the moment, the message "your application is currently under review" is not that comforting. So, right now, I am just resorting to GCMS notes and that too is going to make me wait for a month to find out what is gong on with my case. :-\

Yes Mr. Babu that is correct. Below link is for you and for others as reference. For this year SGVO has a quota of 2180 under FSWP...

I just want to add my incident here with @Raisa comment. I did not get AOR email but my 2nd line of ECAS updated and after 1 month of 2nd line I got MR, RPRF, and PCC request. So, don't worry if you don't get AOR from SGVO. Although there is no harm to raise a CSE.

How will we know that whether we are within SGVO quota or not?

Bro, it is difficult to be sure whether we are within or outside annual quota, however for current year it is easy to assume that this year quota is already over !!!!!!!!!

Reference is not necessary. No doubt about the quota. Again, i say the quota is for finalized apps. I guess CIC also expects us to enjoy the vacation time rather than spending it on producing med results, paying rprf fees and sending passports. Makes sense. i mean, if i sent my passport now then how would i fly around to enjoy the time till mid january 2015. i guess they want all ( cic as well as their clients, us) to have a break till holidays are over. not all clients are muslims, u know.

I think this year quota yet to fill. From January to June 2014 SGVO only finalized 564 (in persons) federal skilled worker visas/rejections to applicants and their dependents. If I annualized this figure, we will get 1128 visas/rejections (in persons) for the year 2014. and they have a plan to provide 2180 visas/rejections. So all of we should be positive about the quota avoiding all sort of tension. For all of your concern 2180 includes successful as well as unsuccessful cases and the unit of measurement is based on in persons not cases. I am suggesting all of to visit periodically CIC's open data portal to get the actual picture of their target and achievement. Periodically they publish their outcomes and results in Open data portal. I am sharing the open data portal link. link of excel sheet where they publish the number of visa issued/rejections (in person) for the 1st six months of 2014 of different visa offices.

Excellent, ziafsw bro. But it hardly matters now because this year is ending soon.

Thanks dear.........it's really informative......If my file transfer to SGVO this month and visa office issues AOR next month I mean on January 2015, so I definitely will be out of this quota right? In that case, my application will be considered for next year quota?
