Hello University lecturers and professors :)

Well, I've just found out about the new NOC, the 4011, and God knows how delighted I am. I know I am a bit late, but not too much.

Well, I have been reading the conditions, and I'd like to ask you, since I believe many have already sent their application forms.
1/ I'd like to apply, but currently i do not have any job offer. Should I proceed still? or should I get an offer first then apply?
2/ what is the procedure to apply through the FSW(1 as noticed on many topics here)? I admit that I'm new to this and would like to receive as much info and help as possible from the NOC 4011 applicants.

N.B.: Sorry for not posting in any main threads, too long (+300 pages!) I just can't go through all of them lol. hence the new topic .
 
Its not a question of having a 'job offer'... you can search for a job for yourself when you land there. 8)

IMP: To be Eligible for "Applying".. you must posses atleast 1 yr of Full-time paid Work exp. before the date of application in your choice of NOC. :o

So. do you have any Work exp. as Univ. Prof, / Lect already ??

Yes, I do.
I have 5 years teaching experience (6 in December) at university level, part time and full time.
I have a Master degree from the UK.
Fluent in English and French among other languages. will be sitting for the French language test soon, and the IELTS (general) in November hopefully.

my position is full time. how much is full time in the Canadian standards?

What else do I need to prove?

More than 30 hours per week is considered full-time. Also get your education assessed. Take the language tests. The link that will tell you everything you will need to know:

what if i cant include my paument on the reference letter and get them a pay slip or a geneal pay slip from the accounting dept? i dont think that my employer will accept to sign such a "refrence letter"!! but I could get the wage thing from the accounting dep!! will they accept?
any thought on how to resolve such a problem :/ ?

I am Single aged 23

I have done B.com In 20012 and since that i am working with a Charted Accountant as a Junior Accountant from June 2012 to present with 2+ yrs of experience

I Have my cousins In canada ( daughter of taya ji ) and i have never been to Canada.

I wanna to apply under NOC 1111.

But problem is the earliest date for Ielts is 22 November 2014. And I am not sure will i get the required 67 points or not.??

My consultant is pressurizing me to start the process of stage 1 of Educational Credential Assessment from now even before my Ielts Exam.

Now I wanted to Know that

1) Should I start the satge 1 OF ECA before Ielts Exam If i wanna to apply under this system and NOT under Expree Entry System ??

2) How Much score Of Ielts is required for me to qualify ??

3) Will i get requred 67 points ??

I have total 3.8 years exp in Software Industry

So far I have worked with three employers

Following are my job responsibilities with (1st employer) worked here for 1 year and 8 months

• Develop and document software testing plans and software test cases for module, integration and system testing

• Execution of Test Cases, Test Plans and documents the results of tests in defect reports.

• Installation of software and hardware and configuring operating system software in preparation for testing of web application.

• Developing and implementing software testing policies, and developing automation scripts.

• Carrying out Functional testing, regression testing, and using automated test software applications to test the behavior and integrity of computer software.



Following are my job responsibilities with (2nd employer) worked here for 6 months


• Analyzing the Requirements from the client

• Developing and documenting software testing plans and software test cases

• Preparing Test Environment to execute the test cases

• Installation of software and hardware and configuring operating system software in preparation for testing of web application

• Executing Test Cases ,Test Plans and documenting the results of tests in defect reports.

• Defect Tracking

• Developing and implementing software testing policies, and developing automation scripts.

• Performing Regression testing using automation tools to test the behavior and integrity of software applications



Following are my job responsibilities with (3rd employer) worked here for 1 year and 4 months

It's most likely too late to apply under NOC 2173.

i.e. Schedule 3: Economic Classes [IMM 0008 SCHEDULE 3] (PDF, 656 KB)

But its shows as

Years of exp as

1 Year
2 to 3 years
4 to 5 years


I dont know what should i select as my exp is 1 year and 8 months

Pls Reply what to select in such a case

Form has been updated in August 2014, while in 2013 form use to have options as

Less than 1 year
1 year but less than 2
2 year but less than 3

What should i select in my case when my exp is 1 year and 8 months

Ya I agree its too late to apply, but I have checked only 292 applications have been processed as of now
and the cap is of 1000

What say....?

Is there good probability..?
