Friends,

Can anyone plz let me know if there is certain validity requirement for international passport for visa stamping?

Do we have any CIC rules like " International passport should remain valid at least for 6 or 12 months after the date when immigration visa expires"?

Thanks,

Not for canadian authorities but for airline it may matter. They may deny boarding if ur passport is valid for less then six months. So its better to check with airline u r traveling before departure

28 days after MR received by VO...waiting for PPR

In the forum I saw the cases when applicants had 5months till expiry of international passport from immigration visa expiry date and still Visa office requested them to revise passport.

SLU updated on 26th of August 2015 with back date i.e. processing started 13/02/2015. PER is 29th January and application date 03/11/2014.

No further updates.

If VO will not ask for renewal of passport, then visa will be issue with the validity till passport expiry date

Hi Everyone, back on the forum after a long time... Good to see the forum has EVOLVED :)

My timeline is below:

Visa Office: NDVO (Changed to WVO) | NOC Code: 2172

Initial App Filed : 29-May-2014 | Rejected/Returned: 15-Oct-2014 | Reapplied: 05-Nov-2014

CC Charged: 08-Jan-2015 | PER: 30-Jan-2015 | AOR: 24-Feb-2015 | SLU: 17-Apr-2015

Med Req: 06-May-2015 | Med Done: 11-May-2015 | Furtherance Request: 29-May-2015 | Re-Med Completed: 13-Aug-2015

My ECAS is in the "new" format, so the traditional TLU of "Medicals have been received" would be 6th line for me. However "Medicals have been received" has not been updated yet even though I have successfully completed re-medicals on 13-Aug and hospital has updated the same on 17-Aug.

My question is: Has anyone in the forum received TLU recently? If yes then when was the medical done? Any thoughts would be helpful.

Cheers,
LazyBoy

Thanks tbaba for your reply. So it took 1 month for you from medical done to TLU... So I might expect a TLU by mid September :)
