Lets start a new & important thread for all Mechanical Engineers who applied in FSW 2014 program. Knowing the fact that CIC CAPS update is no more available on website, this new thread would be really helpful for all of us especially friends who applied in Oct, Nov & Dec, 2014. By updating statuses over here would really be beneficial for all of us.

So, I would request all mechanical engineers, NOC 2132 to join here and start sharing necessary updates for onward tracking.

i am here too - 28th Nov, 14 applicant.
As per forum post last CC charged for NOC 2132 was 3rd Oct, 14.
Our NOC moving so slowly.

positive aspect for NOC 2132 is the fact that it never CAPPED even till the last CIC update of 19th Dec, 2014. 700 + 207 was the last update having further margin of 93 seats; thus, i m very much optimistic that Nov, Dec would catch it. Even the figure 207 might have included friends from Oct all & Nov to some extent at least.

October friends are requested to keep us posted regarding their charging to help us assess chances for Nov & Dec applicants in NOC 2132.

Welcome on board. Yes it is very slow, i don't know what is the reason. But as per last update it is not capped. At least this update includes October applicants. We will wait for coming days to bring some good news for us. Also may be some applicants from October not updating thier details

My hunch is also that first week of Nov applicants wud have been included in 907 of last cap update on 17th Dec, 14.
Let us wait and watch.

I have been a passive member in this forum. I have decided to put up my status if it helps some one. My application was returned with all originals inside for 2 reasons.
1. No coherence with Schedule 10. i.e my job description did not match
2. Lack of evidence of DOB - I had to resend my high school certificates which had my DOB and parents name on it.

thanks very much indeed for sharing ur timeline. well, positive aspect from ur status is that u ultimately sent completed application to CIC despite rejection at first chance. moreover, please keep ur hope alive; u will make in the final 1000 as CAP never filled even till last CIC update.

Hello friends, I'd like to put a note to encourage everybody, we have always been reading many strategies for settling and succeeding in Canada, many will definitely say that getting a job prior to landing is impossible and many others will say that we need to plan for a survival job since getting a job in our noc is very difficult, I strongly disagree with that, we need to start working since the minute we applied to increase our chance for success, reviewing our resumes, tailoring to the Canadian expectations, review skills needed in different regions, etc, in my case even though I'm still waiting for medicals, I have been able to secure a job offer in my noc (2132) valid for 2015 and tied to me completing the PR process successfully.

Yes I had to shoot for a lower than my current position, yes I had to aim for an average pay for the region (according to the figures in the job bank), but at the end I believe is better than arriving and start spending our savings, or doing survival jobs.

Please, focus on your goals and put every effort to achieve it, if it means reviewing 50 job openings every night to review skill need trends, if it means to write a 1000 different resumes tailored to every possible opportunity ahead, if it means to sleep much less hours everyday compared with what you were used to, so be it, at the end the reward is to increase the chances to succeed!

I don't know if GOD will allow me to complete the PR process, I'm still in the middle of the road as many of you, but I do know that I will do my best to not fail for not putting my best every minute, every hour every day to pursue my dream.

Please understand that I'll not give neither personal details, or the company details, but if this words I humbly write helps another person to reach their dream, I'll be more than served.
