You are absolutely right bro..

I have filed two applications..
1. Oct 16 - 2171 - which is dispatched from CIC on Feb 11 with reason that the Cap has been reached for the NOC..
2. Dec 15 - 2172 - for which have been calling them again and again to know the status
In call 1: the guy told me that it has been returned bck with reason that something is missing
Call 2, Call 3: The guys are not able to keep track of my Dec 15 file and say like its too early to call for sttaus now.. wait for like a months time.. As of now it has not been opened..

I hope m clear with my files status now..

2172 Cap reached what???, No way because when cic release Cap on dec 3rd week it was only around 450 Applications, In 15 days 550 application received... :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\

No idea for 2172.. this reply is for 2171 application.. Dont confuse it with 2172..

Hello All,

I am also 4th Sept NOC 2171 applicant. I have also not received any reply from CIC. This scenario is really strange, around Sept application count was nowhere near CAP, not even half full. And now they are taking soo long to return the applications.
This is so frustrating, even my DD gonna expire in a week.

Agree completely..I have a very bad feeling that something fishy has happened with NOC 2171. Start of Sept, not even half applications had been counted in. Everyone was calculating correctly based on CIC figures. There is no way on earth, impossible physically to count in more than 500 apps for one NOC in a week! Either CIC was lying on their figures, or there has been some scam. It is borderline illegal to mislead people through figures. You cant have updates every week and add about avg of 50 apps for say NOC 2171, then one day say we added 500 apps this week. GAME OVER!! Somebody somewhere should question the CIC through a lawyer. I will never believe that the cap was reached on Sept 2nd for 2171. It had to be about 2nd week of Oct, and even that was a very liberal estimate.

I observed that CIC was charging (CC) 2172 from December 1st to 10th with lightning speed. It seems as if there was no hope for 2172 for DD. DD guys were worried. All of a sudden we see DD for 1st to 10th coming up. Now CC guys are worried about cap getting filled up. But we see CC for other NOCs CC up to 19th December.

Is there any thread were a NOC was stopped for a more than a week and resumed?

observed it for NOC 2171 ; you can still check it in SS ,it was stopped around 12/13 November then resumed & Stopped on 20 November. Not sure, but there may be other NOCs as well.

No, you don't get any mail or intimation from CIC. The packet is returned with a note about cap reached.

On Nov 13, CIC updated NOC 2173 as capped. Aug 12 applicants are the last in cap.

FEB.17 called to follow up since we never heard anything since we submitted our application.SADDEST NEWS, they returned our application 1st week of Feb DUE TO CAP FULL.
