I am a 2171 applicant (15th October) and I have doubts because in less than 1 week the no of applications for 2173 jumped from 600 and something to 1000. Same might happen to 2171 too because most of the IT people were afraid that 2173 will be capped somewhere in July-August and went for another NOC, the most feasible for all of us - 2171.
I do pray that Oct applicants will be within cap...selfish me.

Thank you for the suggestion , i used my credit card for my WES payment , it worked well .
I was just thinking to be on safer side .
I heard from some saying that if credit card is used with the IP outside the country for huge amout they might block .So I was bit worried.
I checked with the bank customer care , anywayz i will do re check on that.

If you can go for alternative NOC I will suggest you do that as your chance
of making it under 2171 is not existing.
If you want to take your chance under 2171,you can try as there is no harm
in trying please.

If my application doesn't have any letter mentioning about my roles and responsibilities, will CIC return back my application as rejected or they will contact me for missing documents and keep my application for processing?
I do have included all my payslips, offer letters, relieving and service letters with my application but didn't have any letter about my roles and responsibilities.

Thanks.. Let me start prepare for Express entry as i lost hope that my application will not come within the cap for 2171.
Anyway now i will check for the letter from all my companies for roles and responsibilities.

2172 is mainly deal with database administrators and system admin roles and responsibilities. you should be very careful as your employer is hospital. you did not mention your title of the job in hospital. if your job involves, database administration at hospital you can apply. refer the below duties for 2172.

Database analysts perform some or all of the following duties:

Collect and document user requirements
Design and develop database architecture for information systems projects
Design, construct, modify, integrate, implement and test data models and database management systems
Conduct research and provide advice to other informatics professionals regarding the selection, application and implementation of database management tools
Operate database management systems to analyze data and perform data mining analysis.
May lead, co-ordinate or supervise other workers in this group.
Data administrators perform some or all of the following duties:

Develop and implement data administration policy, standards and models
Research and document data requirements, data collection and administration policy, data access rules and security
Develop policies and procedures for network and/or Internet database access and usage and for the backup and recovery of data
Conduct research and provide advice to other information systems professionals regarding the collection, availability, security and suitability of data
Write scripts related to stored procedures and triggers
May lead and co-ordinate teams of data administrators in the development and implementation of data policies, standards and models.
