My application was received by CIC on 8th September. And I think my DD is valid upto 28th November because I got my DD on 28th of August. Please help what can be done here.
Completeness check is about to start with your month.
You should be fine as your application would have been
considered before that date.
All the best

Hi KSA ,, one doubt ..isnt the check for August due now?/ As per your reply one can infer that september completeness check is due to begin!! I thought they are done with July and about to start or already started with August.

Hi,

As I have understood 2173 is a regulated trade. I have a degree in Electrical engineering but have 20 years of IT experience. Since I don't have a computer science degree do I qualify or do I need to be accredited ?

Please help.

Thanks,
Jayanta

what do you mean by regulated trade?

Charging can be done in quick succession.
Don't be surprised if by Friday, charging is over for
CC for July applicants leaving DD outstanding.
Good luck

Guys & Girls, This thread is exclusively for the IT people applying under 217 series. Lets clarify all our doubts here over the course of next 1 week.

Dear Friends,

I need reference letter contents for NOC 2172, it will be very helpful for me whether someone has applied to this noc already , i will be very greateful if could share the matter of it so that i can proceed further.

Hi Seniors,
Is reference letter enough to prove the duties that one has performed in 2172 ?
My company wont give roles and responsibilities. They have only given a bona fide letter that proves my employment.

Will a refernce letter by my supervisor enough proof of any responsibilities that I show for 2172 ?
Won't CIC ask for any other proof ?

Regards.

Your degree/specialization has nothing to do with it. Your job responsibilities should match with NOC

Hello all,
First post here.

I started to think about Canada immigration rather late (August). Thusfar I've got my WES evaluation and am collecting documents/reference letter to file my application under 2171/2173.
My IELTS exam is due on 22 Nov. My question here is, would it make sense to send in my application to CIC around 15-20 Dec? I fear the NOC code 2171/2173 may be full by that time.
Other option is to apply in the new year under the express entry scheme. Please chime in.

Looking forward to hear from you.

Query regarding NOC -2174

Hi , I had applied under the category 2174.My application received on 8th August 2014, but i don't know whether my application has been already reviewed or rejected . Its been over 3 months and I want to know whether there is a way where can know that if my application is still being processed or its been rejected .Also i have checked on the immigration site that the category 2174 capped reached 1000, so i am curious to know whether my application would be considered or it would not be picked at all.

Thanks
Jagdeep

Better late than never, so give FSW 2014 a shot and simultaneously gear up for EE 2015.

Thanks Parrys, I agree no harm in trying. Hopefully I get my results from IELTS in time to send my application across to CIC.
BTW, are you on TBHP too?
