Dear Team,

Greetings!
I have applied my canada application PR Federal Skilled Workers category under NOC 2173 & it has received by CIC, canada office on 16th Oct-14,
On CIC official website, till on 10-Oct-14, category 2173 count status was showing was 425, after that there is no change in the count & date also not modified.

1.What is proabability of getting confirmation or file number for this category ?
2. How count has been taken as 425 in the official CIC website, whether after receiving our file in CIC office via Courier or after releasing file number to applicant from CIC?
3.When we will get the confirmation on this..?
4.Last 5.5 month( May to Oct) it has taken only 425 application means, with in 6 days is there any chance of filling another 575 application?
5. How frequently CIC team is updating the count in the website as and when courier is received in their office..?
6. Since till 10-10-14, it was showing count as 425 means , till that day only 425 applications received.?

Advance thanks Team... :)

Ok..have a strong heart and remember whatever happens happens for the good! Now here you go....
1 - the 425 number that you talk about is from around 24th of June (completed apps)
2- The cap has not been updated since then.
3- You will need to calculate and analyze a number of scenarios or use the spreadsheet to see what the flow per week has been for your NOC. For example, if you have 425 apps till 24th June that works out to 53 apps per week. Now calculate the number of weeks from June 24th to Oct what ever date your app reached CIC, and see what you get as a estimate of apps till date.
4- Don't lose hope, the flow generally should reduce after July and there could be some rejections, so that may add a few weeks for you.
5 - A number of candidates are in the same situation, including me, so just hope for the best.

Hope for the best and if god wishes, you will be in!

1.What is proabability of getting confirmation or file number for this category ? It is hard to tell. You really cannot predict on this.
2. How count has been taken as 425 in the official CIC website, whether after receiving our file in CIC office via Courier or after releasing file number to applicant from CIC? The 425 count is the number after releasing file numbers to the applicants
3.When we will get the confirmation on this..? You will have to wait approximately 90-120 days to get the confirmation on your application.
4.Last 5.5 month( May to Oct) it has taken only 425 application means, with in 6 days is there any chance of filling another 575 application? Your calculation is wrong. CIC takes lot of time to scrutinize your applications. The 425 cap is the number of applicants who have received PER and by October 10th, CIC was scrutinizing the applications filed somewhere between June - June 10. Effectively, 425 PERs have been issued by June 10th.
5. How frequently CIC team is updating the count in the website as and when courier is received in their office..? Till October 10th, it used to update on weekly basis. But since 3 weeks, no update is made by CIC.
6. Since till 10-10-14, it was showing count as 425 means , till that day only 425 applications received.? As I told before, 425 is the number of PERs issued for 2173. On October 10th, CIC was scanning the documents received by June 1st-June 10th. PER is nothing but the file number issued. Regarding number of applications received, it might be 1000 or 5000 also as many applications will be rejected and no know gets to know how many applications are received and how many rejected.

Advance thanks Team... :)

Just adding on to harrydudie- It was till June 20, not June 10(latest 2174 NOC applications as on Oct 10)

Hi All,

Can any one suggest me how to get duplicate copy of IELTS from British council as they are not sending a duplicate copy to the candidate directly. Please suggest.

Check on British Council site if there is request which can be logged to issue a duplicate copy. I guess it is available on IDP Site.

Mate, I would suggest do not apply for 2173. It will be almost filled by the time you apply. 2172 is a cool NOC. You can prepare your reference letters suiting to 2172. But dont delay. I would suggest send your packages by November-10th.

My application was received by CIC on 8th September. And I think my DD is valid upto 28th November because I got my DD on 28th of August. Please help what can be done here.

Hi,

As I have understood 2173 is a regulated trade. I have a degree in Electrical engineering but have 20 years of IT experience. Since I don't have a computer science degree do I qualify or do I need to be accredited ?

Please help.

Thanks,
Jayanta
