Hi Folks,

I am a SAP Consultant and am planning to apply under NOC 2171 in mid of october. Will i make it in CAP?

i am a technical consultant(ABAP Consultant). am i eligible for NOC 2171.

Guys Please help.......

My app reached CIC last Friday for 2171. Although no one can be sure, I would say you should send it in. By my calculation, till now 348 have been filled, upto June 23rd. That makes it 49 per week. However remember, the flow is always high in the first 2 months. After that, by any yardstick, the flow reduces. If this is true, the cap may not be filled till atleast Oct 31st. The SS takes into account a consistent flow for it to reach the cap on 8th Oct. Remember, slower flow and some rejections can easily delay the cap for a couple of weeks. If you look at the SS, you will see that the flow has slowed down a bit. Try it out...nothing to lose.

Those people who were saying that 2171 and others were DEFINITELY FILLED probably caused some people to lose out, but they don't want to admit that.

How frequent the CAP details are updated in the cic website? As per cic, for 2171, it has reached only 378. Does it mean we still have chance till Nov to apply? kindly advice. I am planning to give IELTS test in mid nov and apply by dec 1st week.

No, CIC cap updates are delayed...Nov is pretty late but some people were telling ppl not to apply in Sep - which was wrong - so it's up to you if you want to roll the dice on this one....

I have some experience around 2172 NOC as well where in we have very less number of applications processed till date (~75). So, shall I apply for NOC 2172 or 2173?. How is it identified that person has relevant experience in that category?. I believe it is companies experience letter?, which my company is giving in Experience letter.
Kindly suggest.

Calculated guess and analysis would tell you that 2171 and 2173 are very very close to getting capped, if not already capped in the last week or so. Stranger things have happened though, and slower flow coupled with some rejections can put off the cap by a few weeks. If you have everything ready to be sent NOW..go ahead, it is still worth taking a chance. However, if you need more time, I think you are probably pushing it a bit!

+1 its all still a question but could be close, still noone can be 100% sure and those that kept trlling people to forget 2171 etc a month or two ago..

As per CIC website, number of complete set of applications being accepted in 348 as of Oct 10...not really sure if its fine to apply as per this info...

Those numbers are not as of October 10th. They are as of the end of June. The numbers on the CIC web site only include the applications CIC has opened and initially reviewed. Right now they are still working on applications from late June.

This is right estimate as till date on an average (38,39,37) applications have been accepted on weekly basis for 2171, even if we take 40 per week, we have 1 week of june, 4 weeks of july and august so thats total 9 weeks lets take 10weeks and that is equal to (10*40=400 apps). till now 348 apps are approved so thats (400+348=748) so its like around 750apps by first week of september. hence there will be 250 apps left to hit the cap and that will be around 250/40=6 to 7weeks so this will be 2nd week of October 2014. Hence september is valid period, this is an estimate.

I have a question. Should the work expereince letter be sent in originals or photcopies? If photocopies, should it be attested/notarised.
