Could you please tell how long does it take for occupation ceiling to fill for 2173 by looking at the current trend? I have the IELTS score but need to got for education assessment which will take around 1 whole month may be more than that.

Please help me figure out if my JD matches enough to NOC 2171 to apply.

My job title is 'Information security Compliance executive' in an ISP company. I specifically work in cloud computing division. My experience is 1.5 years

1. Ensure and manage the implementation of Information Security Management System using ISO/IEC 27001:2005 in particular Information Systems security.
2. Develop and ensure the compliance of all the applicable policies, procedures and controls of Information Security Management System.
3. Coordinate with all departments to Identify and assess the risk associated with current and new information assets, information systems and business processes.
4. Perform risk assessment of information systems, information assets and suggest areas of improvement.
5. Facilitate all the departments in the development, maintenance and testing of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans.
6. Perform penetration testing and vulnerability assessment.

8. Track and manage Information Security incidents and lead their investigations.
9. Responsible for automating and implementing Information Security tool(s) or application(s) independently or with the team.
10. Develop policies, procedures, templates and other relevant information security management system documentation.
11. Act as Management’s representative in external/third party audits.

Can i apply under NOC 2171? what are my chances?

Till end of August, it is safe to assume 2173 is within cap

Opinion varies among individuals. i'm also 2173 applicant waiting for my IELTS result on July 5

planning to send my app as soon as IELTS score card arrives

I will be applying under NOC 2171, I have a question regarding the work experience letter, the title in the letter should exactly match the NOC "Information Technology Consultant" or it can be "Applications Consultant" or "Systems Consultant"?

My roles and responsibilities are almost same throughout the following 3 companies, matches with 2172 but designations are different. Under which category shall i apply: 2172 or 2173 ?

March 2013 to Till Date : Working as Technical Lead on SQL Server Database and MicroSoft Business Intelligence (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS).
June 2011 to Feb 2013 : Worked as Senior Software Engineer on SQL Server Database and MicroSoft Business Intelligence.
Sept 2006 to May 2011 : Worked as Senior Consultant in Hitachi Consulting on SQL Server Database and MicroSoft Business Intelligence.

Suggest me guys under which NOC should i apply: 2172 ?.

Can anyone help me determine if these job duties match that of NOC 2173?

- Design, implement and maintain test automation systems and test scripts for continuous integration tests on all levels using C++ and Python.
- Test APIs for handheld platform solutions.
- Contribute,deliver & test new releases of APIs for handheld platform solutions
- Design, setup and perform feature, integration and release tests, which are automated where possible and manual where necessary
- Continuously monitor product quality and act as an interface between our users, the bugs they encounter, and my team
- Work closely with developers and product management to continuously improve product quality and reliability.

The main duties listed in NOC 2173 match exactly with my overall work experience, however it also mentions about the need for
"bachelor's degree, usually in computer science, computer systems engineering, software engineering or mathematics or Completion of a college program in computer science is usually required." However my Bachelor's of Engineering (4 year) degree field of study is "Electrical and Electronics Engineering"

I have over 9 years of IT experience developing software applications. In my current employment, i play the role of a Software Architect and my main duties include, Technical Design, Requirement Analysis, Development, Integration, Deployment and Maintenance of Software Applications. I also lead a team of
software developers for projects.

I have just checked the CIC site for filled cap and it shows that for 2173 it is 54 now. I believe that this is very old data. Can anyone please confirm that? I will get my assessment at the end of august. By looking at the current number, it seems like I will be able to make it. However, nothing can be said.

Can anyone please tell what if I send my application to CIC and by that time, cap reaches to its limit. Will CIC return my documents?

If you send your credentials for WES now then you can get it done by late by late 15th Aug. Try to send your file before end of Aug and you will have good chances to be a part of gorgeous 1000.
