FSW 2014 - MASTER THREAD - 2171/ 2172/ 2173/ 2174 SERIES

The FSW14-spreadsheet shows 198 entries for 2173 so far. Guessing another 200 who did not register or update this excel sheet, looks like 500 applications already in progress.
@ zstream, we are in the same boat bro. I too am waiting for my ECA hard copy which is due to arrive on the 6th of August (tomorrow).

And I too am planning to file papers by the 15th of August. I think heavy influx is going to be in August/September time frame judging by the time it takes for IELTS and ECA reports to come.

My NOC Code is 2171 & my wife's is 2131. I am almost ready with the 3 prime docs(IELTS, Exp letter & ECA document from WES). Would have all of these by Aug 10 & would be able to courier by Aug 15 by filling the rest of the forms.

My wife would be done with everything by Sep 15 types.

My points are 76 & wife 70.

Now, when I look at the spreadsheet, I see 2171 till date has 190 applicants & 2131 has 90.

Based on FSW 2013 trend nos,I don't think I have a chance. However, does anybody know what is the actual number now.

We have a kid. Should I take a chance & apply as primary applicant or should I wait for my wife(2131) & apply on Sep 15 with she being the primary applicant.

I have sent my application on 19/06/2014 and it was dilevered to the immigration office on 26/06/2014.
Since then I havent got any communication from them. What is the estimated time taken by visa office to send the acknowledgement and issue file nnumber???

Waiting period from CIC,Sydney NS is between 8-12 weeks please.

Also, if i submit my application in Sep-2014, what are the processing times at each stage ?

When do I set to move to Canada? September-2015 ???

Initially i planned to apply NOC 2174 and off late i have to decided to apply NOC 2173

No one can tell!! Though as per SS 2174 should get filled in another 15 working days from now and 2173 in another 35 working days from now. Average is an average after all!!

Again it depends upon roles & responsibilities.. 2173 and 2174 close match so pick the once which is closet

One for thing - I don't think they are looking for 100% match.. as long as it's R&R are very similar to the one specified in 'NOC code' description it should be fine.

Well I have checked the spreadsheet now and the processing time for my visa office i.e.Sydney NS is 8-12 weeks...
As my application had reached there by 24/06/2014, shud i expect the AOR to b issued in September??.. my NOC is 0911 (Manufacturing manager)

my application reached there on 30th of july 2014. when did ur application reach?. my understanding is it takes 4 mnths to receive file no from visa office.
