Hello All

Does anyone know if we could enter Canada as visitor after issuing the COPR?

I am one in the current batch having done the medical check and waiting for the visa approval (or COPR). As I am planning to go Canada in coming months but we don't want to do landing procedures during that trip in case...

Hi Mike. I don't think it should take such as long time. Since medical it should not be more than 4 months to receive PPR in case of HK VO. How many months hasve passsed since you medical has been updated? Anybody has received PPR these days? It seems all quite....

I have sent emails to HKVO and they only reply with standard answer that my file is currently under review, sit tight and wait, there's nothing they or I can do ???

Great news! My friend got the email telling her the decision has been made, and asking her to send a photocopy of the passport etc so they can issue the PR letter! So happy right now!

Quick question: Does anyone know if she will need the eTA clearance to enter Canada when she lands with her PR letter?

Good day! It seems to me that HK VO is on the slower side to issue PPR after medical update. I have a general query. Normally, how long it should take to get PPR since medical results update. I heard that according to CIC Q & A it should take mostly 3 months. However, in many cases we can see it is taking much longer time than 3 months period. Can we raise CSE for PPR before 3 months since medical has been done. Expert comments please.

Yes you can raise your CSE if you wish. It will not effect your application progress.

Hi ! But is ur ECAS updated? Mine isn't yet maybe because i have a medical furtherance? No email from them too...i wastold by seniors that since one of my dependent's medical has a problem so they will send me an email but a month has passed and nothing...

we're on the same boat, mate.
my daughter needed additional medical, we did it in early Oct'15 and still no feedback until today. no update "medical received" in ecas either.
i sent email to HKVO every month, but their reply was quite generic that it is still under review or under queue to be reviewed..
just need to be patience now ;D

hi, my case was abit similar to yours, our medical was done in sept, 15 and my husband have to do additional check-up after 3 months, so it was done in mid Dec.
after 2 weeks it was showing medical have been received and 2 weeks later we saw our status was decision made, we was very surprised that after 1 week from DM they have sent us the passport request, wish you all the best
