Hi everyone,

If you read the CIC pages, you will find that the processing time of HKVO is changed again.

At first, it was 8M and then changed to 11M and now it is changed to 10M.

1M less then before, hopefully HKVO will speed up and everyone get good news soon.

Acuraka,
Thx for you wish.
Yes, I posted in bk also.
Yep...I sent email to the HKVO already but don't get any response from them up to now.
So when will you want to land Canada after getting the PR visa? Toronto?
Hope your husband get a job soon after landing!
I want to land in Toronto around first quarter of 2016, its too cold to start a new life during winter time ;D

Hi waiwera,

I live in Beijing, so it might not be the most accurate answer for your question. Anyway, the email I got said the they wanted a "notarized copy of the original hospital birth certificate".
I just went to a notary public with the Birth Certificate I got AT THE HOSPITAL when my daughter was born and made a notarized copy of it. Also had to translate it because it was in Chinese. There shouldn't be much of a hassle in HK, I believe.

Hope it helped. I also hope I've sent all the right documents ;D

Writing a cover letter is not a must, but it's highly advisable. Just make sure it has your name, DOB, UCI and Application Number, then state which documents are there and, most important, are not. Provide short and clear explanations to anything that should be there and it's not or if something is any different to what they've requested.
As to writing your UCI on the envelope, I'm not sure if you need to do it, but why not put it? :)

Hi,

We are the May applicant who has not yet received any further instruction after Canadian PCC was requested 6 months ago.
I guess the processing time is only for reference.
My application has exceed the 11 months average time and wrote a CSE 3 weeks ago, still no sign of reply.
VO is so unpredictable.
:'( :'(

This is quite strange. I think that the best option for you right now is to get GCMS notes (https://gcmsnotes.ca/). You have to pay for it and it takes more than a month to get, but it could shed some light on your situation.

Best of luck!

Are you requested to hand in PCCs of multiple countries?

No. So far there's only one request which was for the main applicant.
I am the spouse in this application.
The weirdest thing is VO didn't request for my Australian PCC.
But I handed in my Aussie Pcc along with my husband's Canadian PCC in one time.
Do you think that causes the delay?

So, your husband has PCCs from multiple countries (Australia, Canada), this might be a cause of delay in processing, since some ppl in this forum said they experienced delay due to this reason, since CIC undergoes some additional processing to check from their security database for different countries and so on.

I am sorry to confuse you.
We received the PCC request that was only for my husband. (This is the only country he had stayed for longer than 6mths, other than the residential country)
But we handed in his Canadian RCMP PCC together with my Australian PCC (which didn't request at that time).
But I think your suggestion applies to the situation too.
