Just wanted to inform everyone that I got my passport request today!

For those who are living in mainland-China: I am living in Shenzhen and was requested to submit the passport to VFS in Beijing rather than sending it to the VO in HK.

I hope that I get my passport back fast as I am an expat here in China and the passport also contains my Chinese residence permit that I am actually required to carry with me at all times.

Full timeline can be found beneath my nick.

Edit: My ECAS also already shows "Decision Made".

my family plan to move to Canada this summer as my hubby got a job offer there

Hope we can move with the Permanent residence visas but not only with the work permit

I and others got MR and PCC request together but there is some indication that they are doing them separately now.

Don't be worried. From my second line update to MR was nearly 2 months. Everyone's case is different.

Reading the global spreadsheet
i found something interesting
it seems different staff in the VO is responsible for files from different nationality

in particular
3 ppl with HK nationality got the passpart request on the same date 19 MAR 2015

PPR states that you should normally receive it in 30 days. I got mine back in 12 days.

I got second line updated : start processing on 19 March

And I Only receive PCC request on 14 April, still waiting for MR

It'll come soon. I know how hard the waiting is but you can start looking up places to live in Canada in the meantime.

focus those with Hong Kong nationality
you will find out that the HKVO works on a "last in first out" basis recently

how strange?!

those applications received in Sep and Oct got medical request already
but Jul and Aug did not but only got police cert request

I think they will sent out medical request to yytk and acuraka soon
and I'm not sure if ratian info is updated or not
wait and see

those 7 cases shown in my dropbox link may have passport request at the same time later
just like think positive, future canadian and disdis got their passport request on the same day before

so yytk and acuraka don't worry
we are on the same boat and will get our visas at the same time later on very likely

Oh I hope we hear back in the next couple of weeks! We're 22nd October applicants. I can see it's edging closer to us!
