I have an Indian passport and reside in USA.

Is it OK to send the passport across the borders?

Should I email them requesting to print the VISA in USA?

Please respond.

Email to CPC-O and changinh VISA stamping office is time consuming.

We all are sending passports from USA to CPC-O. You can send passport from USA to Canada.

The problem arises, when you send passport to/from India by post.

So, Dont worry, be happy.

Finally the PPR

After such long wait, I have got my PPR just now. My timeline is on the left. They received my FBI PCC on Jan 5th. Everything else was completed back in November.

I was waiting from Jan 5th, getting anxious every now and then. Thanks to god and all forum members here. It wasn't possible without your support, trust me when I say this. It is such a relief now. Will be sending passports over the weekend.

Thanks again. I hope all of you waiting receive your passport request soon.

A question guys - can I use my US card to buy shipping label on Canada post website? I am thinking of using Ottawa VO as billing address

I was able to buy the label with US billing address. nilesh.kamani suggested this to me. He was also able to do so.

Type your address in line1.

Use province as Ontaria and zip code K1A1L1.

CAUTION: in the first page, under shipper email, enter your email. otherwise the receipt will go to CPC-ottawa office.

It will let you save the pdf at the end of the process.

CSE sent 11th Feb and if they hold to 20 percent working days maybe an answer by 11th March. Although CSE of 9th Jan has passed 20 working days and no answer.

The CIC website suggests not sending multiple enquires but as they have yet to send GCMS which was also sent 9th Jan, I decided screw it I shall use every avenue to get answer to why over three months after med and RPRF I have no answer and yet many that apps after mine have PPR or copr. So I sent a fax 12th Feb and will update you all of that gets a response.

I am trying not to, but this is depressing me, app recd 26th May, we are middle of feb and In a matter of months of I have no answer it will have been a year, I don't get it I am in a skilled job and in here in Canada paying my taxes and contributing to the economy and I left wondering what the hell is going on with my app?

7.5 months left till my current visa runs out. Congrats to all who have got PR

US CC are not being accepted to purchase canada post labels because of billing address pincode conflict.

Ask CC company to add temparary (Secondary) billing address in canada (for the sake of purchase label) and proceed.

I use CPC-O address as a temparary billing address

it worked, once get the label, call CC compant and remove the temparary address from your credit card list.

I can understand your frustration.

5 weeks for GCMS notes. You suppose to get next week, I guess.

and also, 7.5 months is pretty good amount of time.

I am late May applicant and my VO is CPC-Ottawa. I was in US when i submitted the application and am currently in India. By Gods grace if i get my PPR can you please help with the options i have to get stamped.

1) How can i send the PP's to Canada
2) Should i send to someone in US and they can send it to Canada and get back, currently i dont know many in US and Canada, so this can be my very last option
3) Can i send a mail to CPC requesting to stamp at NDVO, if i send the mail how long it may take for them to respond and complete the process. Does this also mean that they will transfer my application to NDVO.
4) Please let me me know if someone was in the same situation earlier and had it resolved

Dear goodgreen,

Legal Option:
1) Ask CPC-O to make arrngements to stamp your VISA at NDVO and explain your situation.
this does not mean your file is being transferred. They generate VISA counterfoil & COPR at NDVO and affix to u r passsport.
It may consume again 2-3 months to complete the process. If you have that much time in hand, you can proceed.

Smart Option:
1) Find a friend who is travling from India to USA (Passports can be sent by perons but not by post)
2) Ask hime send to CPC-O from USA. Once he receives back, he will send it to you by any other party returning from USA to India.

do you have dependants, have you travelled extensively to other countries?...sometimes, these things lead to prolong delays or maybe the VO set an extended review date for your application...Since you have done every thing reasonable in trying to reach them without response - I will suggest that you stay patient, even though I know how it feels bro!!!
