Yes, you need PCC for any place you have spent more than 6 months.

Hi, I received my PER on 30th Jan and now waiting for AOR/MR and PCC. I am originally from India, but in the US since last 6 years. Do i need PCC from India and FBI both?

Guys,

Question on Insurance coverage: I am planning to land and return to US after couple of days and planning to move to border city after 2 months. So Does it make sense to apply for medical insurance coverage. Because in Ontario, there is a 3 month waiting period. But from CANADA health website, it says that to get eligible for the insurance, we must physically present in Ontario for 153 days.

Ref: http://www.health.gov.on.ca/en/public/programs/ohip/

Question is: I apply for insurance on the day I land, and give my friend address. They will send the ID cards to my address and he will send them to me. Now are they valid after 3 months, If I go to Canada? For those 3 months, If I stay in US, does it make me ineligible for insurance. :) Man, we really complicate things right.

Any views, thoughts?

Thanks!

Finally got PPR email last night, thanks to all the members here for your support. I pray for others who r waiting to get it soon as well. My theory for when they review is maybe based on medical completed date, since i got it 60 days from my completed done date or could be just coincidence.

Congrats

Although I think your theory has holes as I have been waiting since November

Each province has a waiting period for healthcare and timescales differ, but all require you to be a resident in the province during and after the waiting period

Thanks for the reply. Please check my question for updated/added info. Yes you are right there is a wait period, and I mentioned it already. My question is different actually. thanks!

I would encourage you to apply for one. The reason is you will be added to the Queue, and after the wait time you will get it to your friends place. In this case, its like you are in US and have applied for PR. you will be ahead of time anyway. My view is to apply for all possible process/cards/ids.

Agreed! Will do it. Thanks!

Folks,

Just received PPR email from Ottawa.

I have an Indian passport and reside in USA.

Is it OK to send the passport across the borders?

Should I email them requesting to print the VISA in USA?

Please respond.

GOOD LUCK TO EVERYBODY

GOD BLESS EVERYBODY
