Hi Diplo, when you say passes Eligibility assessment at VO stage you mean after the MR and security checks and everything or before just after sending it to the VO?

A friend had sent two files and has already received two PERs. He's been waiting for his MR for around 80 days from PER.
May having two PERs be a reason for the MR delay?
Is he eligible for a refund for the deducted fees of one of the two files?
Should he be doing anything to withdraw one of the two files or his VO will be excluding one from the two?

If he has receiver PER means application fee is non-refundable now. No need to withdraw, let both application be processed. Once your friend receives COPR + Visa he can withdraw one application.

Goku, your case is not applicable to everyone. You had two apps from different categories CEC and FSW, so they never 'collided'. In case of two FSW apps they withdraw the extra one at Eligibility stage.

My point was that none of either two application should be withdrew at this stage. To my knowledge they ask to withdraw another application at PPR stage.

it has been 1 month after my ME report arrived Ottawa，
still no 3rd line， no MER :-[
Feel some frustrated and not sure if i should apply for CAIPS？

my study permit will be due this Aug， can i get my PR before that？

called CIC this morning. got confirmed that my ME， RCMP， and RPRF did arrive their office last month.....but still in the queue waiting for processing....

any chance that they may check background at this post-ME stage？ :-[

Diplomatru, if I was told that all screenings are done and my file is waiting for Final Review is it good news or in my situation I shouldn't be happy yet....
Do you think that if they would not like something - they would send any email requesting more information before sending file for Final Review? Or even if they might not like something they would send file for Final Review anyway? I just don't know if the files waiting for Final Review are the ones which successfully completed all prior checks, screenings etc. I don't know the process very well, and you know I worry so much
