I wish we could go and hand deliver the passport ourselves instead of using Canada postDiplomatru said:This time Canada Post didn't prove a smooth experience. I still have no tracking information other than "processed at Mississauga gateway on 04-13-2015". Had to give a call to CIC call centre and they acknowledged the receipt of the package on 04-14-2015 and that the mail room already dispatched it to RFV location. So, keep that in mind in regards to the return trackers and check your mailboxes regularly.

bat001 said:Nice one, how much did you spend sending your package? I will give you a heads up and your posting via canadapost can be free after all (e.g. refund of your money) - I once sent a package to CIC nov last year and the package only tracked that it got to the canadapost facility in Ottawa and didn't move atall. I mailed cic and they eventually acknowledged that they received it. So I decided to punish canadapost on my own, I called and spoke to them (customer service - Head). She apologized and said due to high volumes of mails that go to CIC everytime, sometimes the mail guy aren't able to scan for successful delivery and that she can assure me the package has been delivered 99%, and she said 1% being the non-tracking. I laughed and said I paid for service not delivered - She said they will refund the money. I saw a check at my address after 2weeks thereabout
- Its not about the money, I just decided to punish them for not having full proof of delivery/service that I paid for (if you do the same thing to organisations here in Canada, they wont take it lightly with you e.g. tax

It's possible. One applicant delivered his passport the mail room in person. But it's not really a walk-in service as they don't offer a pick up option.ray2210 said:I wish we could go and hand deliver the passport ourselves instead of using Canada post![]()

I share your compelling stand on this issue bat001. My package was mailed in St Catharines but no tracking information was available until the next business day and all it said was 'processed in Mississauga' (no 'accepted', no 'delivered to post office', no 'out for delivery' lines). The call center person explained that the envelope was processed manually, but was not aware of what caused it (invalid bar code?). Anyway that's not what I payed 18.25$ for, so yesterday I filed a service ticket with Canada Post and will demand a full refund.bat001 said:Nice one, how much did you spend sending your package?
