Oh! this is the only file I know of that was processed in Cairo... I have tried to contact her, but no luck... Her posts show that she received the second line of update at least 6 weeks before the medical request. This "at least" had no upper bound... meaning, I don't know when exactly before those 6 weeks did she receive the second lien of update...

OK, so:
(1) MR is a year after PER ... and
(2) "around" 6 weeks after SLU ...

If 2014 times are "similar" to 2013, so we are expecting MR(s) during Sep\Oct for those who got SLU on 1st\2nd of Sep....

Hi guys,
look what I found
How are processing times calculated?

Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) calculates processing times from the day CIC receives an application to the day it makes a decision on the application.

When estimating how long you will wait to receive a temporary visa, you must also take into account up to 10 days of transit or delivery time on top of CIC’s processing time. The time your application will spend travelling to and from CIC will vary depending on where you live.

the good news is we will not have to wait till August 16, so as per the curent estimated time for processing (25 months) we will hear news in June 16 :D

Hi bro,
As far as I know, can't remember from where I got this information, but I'm pretty sure of it, processing times are calculated since the file reached the VO not CIC, so for Embaba VO, it is 25 months since the file reached them (after PER).

Hello Bro, I also thought it was calculated that way but I found the below link
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?q=068&t=3
it's somehow a relief as it means they should start soon or could have started already.

Sorry bro, still didn't get on which part of the page you build your conclusion on that they will start or have started processing our applications?

well its not a solid conclusion but based on this "Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) calculates processing times from the day CIC receives an application to the day it makes a decision on the application." I understood that CVO processing time(25 months) should be calculated starting May 2014 so we should get a decision max by June 2016, so only 10 months are left which actually is not a long time considering the average time between each step in the process, ex:- before sending MR you can wait for few months, between MR & passport request there are few months, and sometimes they may request some additional documents or something.

Got it bro, thanks.

thanks bro, I hope that it's partially correct :) and that they started the processing but we won't need to wait till June 16
