FSW 2014 - Cairo Visa Office

Hello Dears,
I hv an inquiry about natorization of the Documents ... I had only transalted the documents form a certified translator with an affidavit .. Is that enough , or should i make another formalities of the natorization, noting that i'm residing in Saudi Arabia and the natorization process will be very complicated for me here ..
your feedback would be appreciated..

Any one know anything about Cairo VisaOffice ? is this where our files will be processed ?

Dear sabona2000, I am same like you, my file was received on 7 May and my PER on 28 July and till now I haven't hear anything.

I have ordered CAIPS file and it indicated that my file was transferred to Cairo on 20 August

Did you receive your medical or got any updates regarding your file???

i am happy to see this thread, please keep it alive, my application received on 7 May and PER on 12 Aug and waiting for the new step

We are really confused. please any one got news, appreciate if he updates us.

Dear All,

Me too, I am May 8th applicant, PER received in August 2014 and visa office as per indicated in my application is Cairo. ECAS status : we rcvd ur application on May 7th 2014.

Having reviewed the online FSWP 2014 spreadsheet/log, it is evident that VOs are progressing th the extent that many applicant have already landed to Canada indeed.

I am really confused.

Appreciate it if we could share our case experience and update each other.

As far as I know, the Cairo applicants in the first couple of weeks from May has had their files transferred to Cairo office but the Cairo applicants beyond the first couple of weeks of May are transferred to CPC-Ottawa. Applicants who has their files transferred to Cairo VO has not heard from the VO so far and also their files are not re-transferred to Ottawa as could have been expected due to the current circumstances in Egyp.

I sent an enquiry to CIO-Sydney on December and they just replied yesterday sayin that they can not comment on my file as the file is transfered to Cairo and my CAIPS files shows that my file was transfered on 20 August 2014

What Cairo visa office is doing??!!! have they forget about May files as why not transfered it back to CPC-Ottowa in order to continue the process!!!

Hi, I live in Egypt and I set my VO to Cairo. I received my PER in October 2014 and then I got an email from CPC-ottawa with MR at the end of November 2014. I sent my meds in the beginning of December. Till now I didn't receive PPR, I dunno why it's taking so long. I wanted to ask if anyone got a ppr mail to send his/her passport to cairo VO ?

Moreover, couple of forum members here has replied to Ottawa after getting their passport requests asking to have their visa stamped in Cairo and Ottawa replied with confirmation asking them to send passports to Canadian embassy . and even in the spreadsheet someone has reported sending his passport on 29 Jan and getting it back on 4 Feb, so he must have sent it to Cairo office. That means that Cairo visa office is working.

I am pretty sure of this, I got this info from observing forum members here and in the Egyptian forum. you will find for example XFaris stating his file is at Cairo VO and other members having their files sent to Ottawa. I have observed that the time of application received by CIO makes the difference.

Cairo Visa office doesn't process Federal skilled worker.. so CPC Ottawa will process ours

it takes about 2 weeks after medical to have 3rd line mefical received then about 45_60 to get decision made and about 30_45 days to get ppr ...and i am sorry to tell you that this time lines are getting longer and longer ...so dont worry just more patience

Would any if you guys provide the contact mailing address of cairo visa office. I think the best course of action is to address our concerns and they shall presumably respond on case by case basis.

Any ideas??
