Yes. They do a full physical check up by asking guys to remove all clothes except the inner wear. And they give a skirt and a shirt to ladies.

Doctor checks scars, bruises, if there is any swelling in feet or knees as well :P.

But yes, as you are clear now. You should have no problem at all.

Hi Prarthana,
Do you think it will be a problem if I have scars on the leg. Of course I will tell them the reason and also I have a medical certificate for that. But can this be a reason for rejection? Just seeking your advice. Thanks.

Hi SBI,

Scars on your legs are not a cause for rejection. Every other persons has gotten scars from accidents as well. Kindly see below for the explanations from CIC which will lead to Medical Inadmissibility (Rejection of PR application).

These are the major illnesses that will ofcourse be 100% lead to rejection if proven.
- HIV (AIDS)
- TB (Tuberculosis)
- Cancer

Applicants may be denied a Canada Immigration (Permanent Resident) Visa solely on medical grounds, if:
Their condition would endanger the health or safety of the Canadian population at large; or
Their admission might cause excessive demand on existing social or health services provided by the government. *

When determining whether any person is inadmissible on medical grounds, the medical officer is obliged to consider the nature, severity or probable duration of any health impairment from which the person is suffering as well as other factors, such as:
Danger of contagion;
Unpredictable or unusual behaviour that may create a danger to public safety; and
The supply of social or health services that the person may require in Canada and whether the use of such services will deprive Canadian nationals of these services.
* The excessive demand component is waived under the Family Sponsorship category of Canada immigration for the spouse, common-law partner, conjugal partner and dependent children of the Sponsor. The Sponsored person(s) still may be refused if their condition is considered to be a danger to Canadian public health or safety.

Nope mate, it will never be a problem. Anyways, you are ready to tell them the reason and also take the supporting docs if you have now. The Doc will juz see, take some notes and give it back to you.

And as some of our forumites said, its not at all a problem.

Brother, I am not that a senior member here. Also same as all of us going through this PR process. Just along the way obtained some vital information, and wanted to share to all fellow applicants in doubt. Just as me previously..

As per your VO bro, London is quite slow nowadays. But hopefully will pick up together with the rest of the VO's as well.

As per current records, looking at your VO. Recent Medical Exams for this January are requested to some May & June applicants still. So i believe your turn will come for you to expect say from March onwards.. This is just an assumption.

Since for me, my VO is Manila. I am also hoping the Month of March will be my MR month; As far as the trend is going. Some VO's, particularly Sao Paolo in Brazil, is to date the fastest. It is assumed that they only are processing a few applications.

Hope this helps.. ;)

I believe, if that was cleared for a long time now. Then she is living a healthy life, i think there won't be any issue on that. It would still be the doctors' call during the examination. I have saw some reported this same case. There were sightings of the scars on the lungs due to the TB, but were completely cured. There were asked to run more test than usual just to clear the possibilities. In the end, it was proven that the TB were no longer active. So they passed the exams.

As long as your confident that there were no problems/complications after that, no need to worry. Just be sure to mention this to the doctor who will examine you & your wife. Since you need to declare your medical history.

All the best and hope everything will turn out right.

For those in the waiting game..

It'll be good to preoccupy yourselves to avoid the anxieties..

Congratulations!!!! :)

Bro dmac, seems SGVO is faster than MVO...we should choose SGVO also! Lol!

Heheheh mabilis lang daw ang SGVO to give the AOR mail. Which means just plain email stating that they received their file in SGVO. Coz someone in the Singapore applicants' thread told me that most of them got the AOR email, but still stuck on waiting for the MR as well..

We'll just wait and see Lah.. ;D ;D ;D
