Hi...
Just a quick query. I had an accident back in 1999 and my left leg was operated upon. I have steel plates inside my leg which will remain forever. Obviously, I have 3 operation marks (or scars) on the leg. Do you think this will create a problem during my medicals? I think everyone has some injury mark or the other in their body. So does it really make a difference and result in a negative medical report? Getting worried now...

Hi SBI,

I don't think there should be an issue about the same as they are only trying to identify if anyone has any contagious disease that may cause issue to their citizens or if the disease may cause too much expense to canadian medical social services. I guess, you have nothing to worry about.

Be positive!

Regards,
Sunny

I fully agree with sunny's point of view, usually they are mostly trying to find out if someone will not be either burden on canadian health care system or will not be dangerous in terms of whole canadians due to possessing contagious disease.

when a full medical examination is done reasons for all scars will be asked naturally.

It is the best policy not to hide anything. any surgery or any disease contacted earlier (if asked for)

Yes. They do a full physical check up by asking guys to remove all clothes except the inner wear. And they give a skirt and a shirt to ladies.

Doctor checks scars, bruises, if there is any swelling in feet or knees as well :P.

But yes, as you are clear now. You should have no problem at all.
