Dear friends,
I am posting this message again. I am expecting an offer from quebec employer, is it possible to land and work with this employer in quebec with FSW COPR and visa. can someone else please help me to take decision. If not what are all the things i need to get so still i can utilize this offer.

perukulla Congrats on your Visa. My application is still in process...so I may not be an expert enough to counsel you but I will guide you based on my small knowledge. FSW is different from QSW. You need English or French or both for FSW, but you need only French language expertise for Quebec. I will advise that you land in Ontario or other English speaking Canada first and get settled for a couple of weeks or months before Quebec employer calls. You can get yourself engaged in some short bridge programmes for New Immigrants while you wait for your job offer from Quebec. But Let them know that you are already in Canada. If you land first in Quebec region from your country, you may have problems with immigration based on your language orientation. It will be quite easy for you to travel to the Quebec region to get fixed for the job offer from whichever English speaking area you have been residing, because you are already a PR card holder for Canada. and there will be no restrictions. You can only be restricted if you entered through a PNP programme where you signed a pact that you will never leave the region until after about 3 years. Know that as a PR card holder in Canada, you are eligible to work in any part of Canada whether Quebec or otherwise.

Hi dear..

As far my information concern...U need to have CSQ certification to work in Quebec...Also need to know French...CSQ certification will take tym upto 6-8 months and there is different immigration programe to settle in QUEBEC...fURTHER, U HAVE TO LAND IN THE CITY which is mentioned in your COPR.. U can also check with the employer if there is no such restriction of CSQ etc...Other school of thought is Once u land in canada , u can join any employer in any state...U shud attend CIIP session and ur doubts be clear...

Rgds....

thanks for your reply. but there are different opinions on this and it looks like after landing in canada probably ontario region, i can go and work in quebec still residing in ontario region as it is not too far...what do you suggest this might be fine without having anyproblem as my residence and every other service i use is from ontario region but i will work in quebec...will that be good enough without having any issues.

Hello Folks!

This morning i received the Passport Request Letter. i have a query regarding it.

i noticed it was mentioned that: 3) Change in Circumstances: Should any of the following circumstances apply to you (or any person included in your application), you must inform this office immediately.

i have question about the one that says "A change in availability of funds for use in Canada".

i recently shifted my bank balance to invest in stocks and mutual funds. But i am a single applicant and my present holding is way more than it is required by CIC. In that case, do you reckon i need to mention anything to them?

Please answer ASAP as i need to send my passport soon.

Many thanks!
