To the best of my knowledge, one can expect his/her file number after 2 months the application was submitted.

Check the spread sheet. u will get an Idea . i got it within 45 days, there are people who got between 60-80 days

On an average it takes 60-80 days to receive a file number.

Counting my 68th working day with my application......

You said that you call them today......... Anything fruitful news......!!

Dear i have tried three times but not able to reach to the call center representative. Its very though not an easy option. Very busy....

Another question in my mind is, if our application is complete with all sort of documents as per the checklist, will they clear our DD and send us receipt with UCI number ? OR they will assess our eligibility criteria with documents and if we are eligible then only they will proceed for DD clearance and send us the PR & UCI number.

Congrats saw that you got fee encashed within 4 week, I have resubmitted my application just recieved today to CIO.
