are sent back...... No need to worry...... Do not be confirmed as CAP filled because not even a single one can say that someone's fate. Except CIC........ Whatever you listen to now is either guess or anticipations......... Be positive....

For your information, last Friday I had called CIC people but I was informed that I can get some update from them after 8-10 weeks only. So, I have to wait till March end.

thanks for your wishes, however i think mine and yours will be nearby .... if its 8-10 weeks then how people cc are getting charged in one month and around did u got chance to check on this from cic....

Hey Swap & Shrini......

Yep ...... Expecting to hear sumthing from CIC soon...,,
In my point if view....... CIC might have accumulated all DDs....... Issuing PERs to CC applicants so far ...,, presented to respective banks on a single day.....that may be the reason for sudden hike of 64 applications in a single update.......i.e. From 236 to 300 applications & CAP reached.,,.
Let's hope for best....

Yes Swapnil, we should hear about our payment status together (time may vary by few days). Unfortunately, in case of DD payment status I will not get any info from CIC before 8-10 weeks from the date of my application. However, as you have opted for payment by CC, you will be able to check payment status.

Jyoti, your speculation can be correct to a good extent. Let's still hope for the best.

In my Case.. DD still not en cashed .. application received 10th January --- just checked last week.. still in a dilemma ..........

You should be able to make in because based on spreadsheet application from guy which was recd on 13 jan has got his cc charged so u r very much in....

As far as me and Shrini is concerned we even dontvknow whether we made it to the cap or not....

Well for me I am positive but with eachong passing days .... may be I have accept the writing on the wall......

It was 11 feb 14 when the cc was charged and that coincide with the day when cap reached.....

joe07, you will certainly be in....my wild guess though. How do you check the payment status of international DDs? I tried to enquire the issuing bank but they were unable to track the DD payment status. Do you have any other idea?

I applied with HDFC Bank.. U need to have the scanned image of ur DD, and send to the Relationship manager in the bank .. he will forward to the forex team who will check if the DD has been liquidated. This is the standard procedure for finding out international DD..

You contact to banks manager they will find it out. infact they can find out if they are denying it means they dont wanna do it.

you are correct Bhavik. The bank which has issued my DD is the worst I have come across. Naming the bank here could be a problem, otherwise I am in a mood to just abuse and ^%^& them up. You are right, the bank officials are absolutely lazy.

Branch managers typically dont entertain these query's . i know the BM very closely still he doesn't instead calls his RM and ask him to help me.. u rather approach the RM directly and get it done..
