I didn't order GCMS (or was it CAIPS?) notes because it seems that the visa office itself is slow so no reason yet to think something is wrong with my file. I did submit a CSE 3 weeks ago though but haven't got a response yet.

Yes. It has been very slow lately for no apparent reason. :(

Thanks Loom, that's refreshing to hear. I'm in Iraq and I can get the police certificate from here relatively easy. It's the ones from UAE and Syria that were a major pain to acquire. As of next week, I have exactly two months until my medical test expires, so fingers crossed. Who am I kidding! No, fingers are not crossed :p

Congrats bobel. Glad they seem to be working on our applications, albeit slowly.

Just in case, can you start acquiring for the other police certificates? I would do that just to be on the safe side.

It's a lot of work and it's costly so I'll just wait and hope they don't request them again.

Just received MR

Dear MurAhm, ABORGY, Stelimeli and Alion4ik congratulations for your MRs!
Keep us updated regarding the PPR step

Congratulations :) February is a lucky month really! I hope that they will finish very soon November app and will start sending MR to December applicants....

Congratulations to all who received MR. Namely, Alion4ik, Stelimeli & Aborgy. :) :)

Finally good news came from BVO.

I received MR today, too. :D

There is a strong momentum in BVO these days so I am optimistic that all the remaining files will be completed in the very near future.

Good luck to all.

I received medical exam request. I am not happy. At all. I am living in Ireland since a few months because I was sick of wasting my time with this sh*t...I mean immigration procedure. Now they want me to pay 245 EUR per person for medical checks + new police clearance (for 3rd time while this is their fault it lasts so long!) +, + ...
Is Canada the heaven on earth? Because if it is not, I would not waste my time and money (=THOUSANDS of euros so far). Have a good luck whatever it means to you.

I feel you man. I applied in July 2014 and my medical exam will expire mid March so I'm going to have to retake that. I spent upwards of $15k USD overall (various fees, many plane tickets, months of unpaid leave, etc.). If they ask for new police clearance I'm not sure I can even afford that (unless it's from my current country of residency only which I can manage). What's worse is that they didn't even bother responding to my email from November. I don't know what my options are at this point, but I definitely don't want to stay here in Iraq. Can't risk investing in a future here where renewing my yearly residency in this city (and I'm Iraqi!) is highly dependent on the mood of the officer in that particular day.

Sorry for the rant everyone. As upset as I am, I'm happy some of you have their files moving.
