Hey guys,

Today I checked our status and there is a slight change I find to be strange. We have a 2nd line only (and still no MR) but the date there got updated. When it initially appeared it said "We started processing your application on February 9th. Now it is changed to January 10th.

In some way this is strange because we got out PER on January 19th so there is no way they started processing our application before we received our PER.

Have you guys seen this before or any idea what it might mean?

It is a global change a lot of people from different VO reporting it...Bucharest VO either, me too. So it is nothing special, just a routine update of CIC.
According to my gcms notes this is the date when my file was opened in CIO.

I hope Bucharest will start soon to work on FSW!

I don't know what is happening with this bizarre visa office. No MRs at all for long time, and even for those who received MR, PPR came in a very slow fashion like they are picking only one application each month out of a pile of hundered applications and then process it.

The only thing they are brilliant at is collecting fees early from applicants. Why I have to pay RPRF in advance 9 months ago and then wait so long without getting my file processed! That is not acceptable and makes the whole process seem like a complete rip-off.

Sorry for ranting about it here. I know many of you are eagrly waiting like me. I hope that officers show some mercy and start working on the remaining files soon.

My friend, trust me once they have asked for the bio pages, it means PPR is coming anytime. The average 6 weeks but it might take a couple of weeks longer.

I know in no time you will be asked for your passports. They are just formally finalizing your application. Things look good. Just hang in there a little bit longer.

Do you know how long it took them to send your friend in Amman ppr after bio pages request?
İ thought that they send ppr only on tuesday

As you know the average time to recieve ppr after mr is 30 to 90 days, and in my case its 7 months now what worries me is that it will take them longer in my case to send ppr after bio pages request
I think I'm tired from this waiting game

Bucharest has no average time unfortunately...
The situation is getting worse... They have finished all the old Quebec applications, so there isn't pending ones anymore. PNP applicants are waiting, FSW applicants are waiting and we don't know what is going on... :
I am eagerly waiting for the next update on the CIC's official page, I am sure they will increase the processing time, and I am going to write them again, I want to know how should I consider this enormous time gap, what should be my plans for the future...!

Isn't there any other way to ask what is going on with such a long silence? How can we contact CIC directly and do they answer? What if our VO is at fault here? How much more can they keep increassing the processimg time?

Did they answer when you write to them? İ contacted them before by email & cse but they didn't reply!!! So i applied for gcms notes
