I guess u mean mj.sb who is waiting since 4 months , the interesting thing is that u have a similar time line like mine , i can c that u got the mr in april but did it in june , we did the same because of our representative , btw i do travel like 3 times/year to my family who resides in uae , also i did travel to 5 other countries , will that slow the process ??!!

Before landing, I was in Canada on a student visa, so I have been there for a about a year and a half before becoming a PR. I am living a student life, so I still didnt look for a job, or been through what others have gone through. I had everything settled, had a place to stay, friends, I have even obtained a driving license before landing. So, yeah the only thing that was different is my status in Canada.

But... What is interesting is my landing experience itself!..

I landed on June 03,2015, and around mid of July I thought about calling CIC just to confirm that my PR status is actually activated. It was a weird feeling I had, that something was not right. The agent told me that still my PR status is not activated, and after 15 minutes of discussing this matter with the border he asked me to call them. So, I called the border at which I have landed, and they said I should come and see what's the issue IN PERSON because they cannot provide me with any information on the phone. So, I literally left everything and immediately drove for one hour and a half just to discover that the agent who dealt with my landing paperwork did not complete certain fields in the computer system and so it only shows that I was there but my landing was not confirmed!

The best part was when I was told that only the agent who dealt with my case can confirm my landing, and she is not there. (I was about to cry at this point, because they can easily ask me to come back tomorrow or God knows when the agent's shift start! and they could've seen the matter while I was waiting on the phone and then let me know when to come!).

BUT, lucky enough, her shift was about to start ;D She came in, completed everything , and apologized to me. She is such a nice lady and I didnt have any hard feelings against her to be honest, I genuinely accepted her apology.

The next day I called CIC, telling them that I just wanted to confirm that I am not "status-less" anymore, and is that my PR is activated. They confirmed that. YES! Two days later, ECASE showed that my application is complete. Happy me!

Not only your traveling history. Your nationality plays a role as well, and the countries you have visited. It is a very complicated process no1 can tell.

Haha! That's what I thought, I have even told my friends that I have landed TWICE! but the eCase considered my landing effective from June 03,2015. ;D

And YES these things do happen. There is always a chance for a human error to occur whenever humans are a part of a system.

I have news. I am a october FSW app with PER in 13 jan. Since then absolutely nothing. This week a second line appeared on my ECAS. 1. We received your app on 03.10.2014 and 2. We started procesing your app on 06.01.2015.
So.....what does this mean: the second line automatically means the MR are close or it is a simple update and that is all?
What do you think about the fact the email with PER 13 jan was sent after the 'start processing' update status 06 jan?

This is strange.. but it is better than nothing! I am October applicant as well. They received my application on the 16th October and my PER is 19th of Jan. When did they receive your application? If everything is fine maybe I will receive a 2nd line update soon as well!!!! OMG ! Its been 7 months of silence, no MR , no 2nd line... Let's hope for the best!
Anyways, hope you get MR soon.

This is strange.. but it is better than nothing! I am October applicant as well. They received my application on the 16th October and my PER is 19th of Jan. When did they receive your application? If everything is fine maybe I will receive a 2nd line update soon as well!!!! OMG ! Its been 7 months of silence, no MR , no 2nd line... Let's hope for the best!

They received it on the 3rd of october. I really hope this second line could mean medical requests are soon! I will update whenever i have news, please do the same! I hope you too will get something and that things start moving...

By the way, on 11th august the same second line appeared in my ecas and it states that they "started to process my application on May 1". We received file number on april 15. In case we get some new changes we will share the info.
