Sharing landing experience in canada :
Hello friends I have been following the group for quite long period and gathered useful suggestions. Here I share our landing exp in canada last Sunday.

We travelled through British airways from India.
. We landed at calgary,alberta.
. Declaration landing form was given by flight crew members which we got to declare at airport .
. They redirected us to immigration section as we were newly immigrated.
. There we submitted our passport and copr for proof. They filled pr card on their own. The lady said as per copr our landing destination is Toronto. So PR card will be send only to Toronto in 2 months and not calgary. God's grace we had relatives address at Toronto as well.They returned back copy of copr stating became PR on March 2 and passport one time entry visa was striked out.
. Then comes the custom department.He just asked if we are carrying any Funds above 10kcad and asked to fill currency declaration form. On just seeing our luggage the person asked do we have any accompanying goods. We said no. He said no need to fill any goods form as it's just an formality.( May be its on random check)
.that's it our landing was completed.
. Next day we applied for sin and got number right there. Also we applied health card for the same day. The following day we got our health card number and consulted a doctor as am pregnant. Everything was easy and perfect here.

The procedures followed here are very ease and quick.

Ohh.. At the time of Applying, I didnt have an idea of where to live in Canada. Depending on the job openings available I had filled Calgary as preferred city.
Now, we plan to visit Canada around Sept/Oct only to validate PR and come back in 2-3 weeks time. Now the problem is I dont know anybody from Calgary whose address can be provided for PR card. But, I have some relatives and friends living in Toronto.
Can somebody please suggest best approach.
Can I change the city of 'Intend to Live' as application form IMM0008ENU_2D, so that, COPR will show Toronto. I dont know, if this is possible. If yes, can somebody please suggest how to do it. In that case, I can provide address of my relatives from Toronto (ON) in the PR card application.
Also, will this delay my application processing. My 3rd line update and all other docs received (PCC, RPRF) to NDVO on 18 Feb. So, I am expecting DM and PRR in next few days.

Congrats on third line update, Did NDVO receive the IME forms RPRF etc and then update your third line.

Reason i am asking is because we too complete our medicals on Ma 20th from a e-enabled hospital but are yet to send the IME forms RPRF and PCC. (Waiting for the license history search document from Australia). Wanted to know if they update it only after recieving all documents or once the doctor panel reviews and clears the medicals.


Hi , third line update does not depend on PCC RPRF form submission. 3rd line update in your ecas shows once hospital sends your report and if you pass the medicals.

Some people are telling before per, as my HR told me that she got verification visit, I don't know she was telling lie or not. Most of the people are telling in between per & Mr, mostly after aor...even lot of people are telling, they got everything without any verification.

Hi seniors

Plz help in resolving my doubt
My friend who is the PA ,his wife's passport is of Pakistan
It gets renewed every year from Indian embassy as she lives here Since 25 years
Now once they got their passport renewed this time
The pak embassy guy created a doubt that for Canadian visa you need a
Printed passport , whereas from India they issue only handwritten .

Is this the actual case ...?
He said if u want to get the printed passport you need to go to Pakistan
To get it issued .

Plz help as my friend is quite worried
