Regarding medicals( received the MR request yesterday),

Got some general queries...would be really helpful if someone who has gone through this process can revert back

My wife ( I am the dependent) applied it from india and presently I am in Saudi Arabia for an official assignment...I am going to book an appointment with an e-medical center here

What all documents I need to carry ?

1) Passport
2) Medical form
3) Request letter

Once I am done with the medicals, do I need to send any docs to my wife in india?

Send original medical receipt to your wife

Once she is done with her medical from india and submits the fees for RPRF online , what all doc needs to be sent to delhi immigration office?
List of enclosed documents:

1. Request letter

2. Passport bio pages: Primary Applicant and Spouse

3. Original Medical Receipts and e-medical report: Primary Applicant and Spouse

4. RPRF online fee receipt.

MR Received

Hi Guys,

Some news and queries...received our MRs today from NDVO. Surprisingly, no intimation of any police clearance that has been requested. Also, the email communications doesnt speak about RPRF fee. Request your advice on this.

Thanks a ton for all the help and wish you all the best in life! :)

Best Regards!

For diamond jewelry you should have received one from the shop you bought it from. If you don't have it then you can try approaching a gemologist. They should be able to provide one. For Gold Jewelry my understanding is that you don't need one.
These lists, pictures & others are needed for use during landing. The customs agency will ask you to show all this. This ensures you dont have to pay customs duty & tax for these items when you land. While preparing lists, it is better to group them so that you know exactly how many numbers you are carrying and what all you are carrying.
Dear FuturCanadian,
Thank you for that informative info.
Should the gemologist be a "certified" one, if there is a certification for gemologists or anyone who has a jewelry shop or into this jewelry business can do?
Thanks so much.

Friends,
I understand that 4th line update is "Decision Made" and we receive PPR during the same time.

Couple of questions, sorry silly once :-X ;)

- How long it takes from 3rd line to 4th line? Only NDVO knows ;). It may vary and also depend upon few factors i.e how many countries you have visited, submitted PCC along with the application, accompanying spouse etc...It will take about 1-2 month on an average.
- Do we receive PPR the same day when DM is update in ECAS? May or may not be. Generally DM gets updated first but in some cases PPR come earlier.
- What are the documents to be sent for PPR? PPR letter, obviously Passport and two photo (Name, D.O.B and studio name on one of the back side of the photo), Authorisation letter if someone is submitting passport on behalf of you.

Congrats.. Check the email which you received from DELHIIMMIGRATION@international.gc.ca. You would have received two links on that email. One is about fees and one is link to pay the fees.

Hi Guys,

Just wanted to send up update here...

I sent my application to FSW 2174 May 4th 2014 and got Immigrant Visa in October 2014.

I landed in Toronto, Canada Jan 17th 2015.
I attended JobSearchWorkshop with Welcome to Canada Services.
I applied the skills I learnt on Resume writing and interview preparation.
I got a job offer in March 2015 relevant to my skills and I accepted.

My advice to you:
- Research online Canadian employers...research hiring months...before coming to Canada so can time your trip perfectly
- Research jobs before coming here to see what programs or skills you need to get to be at same level as Canadians
- Ensure you are proficient in English and/or French
- Learn to adapt when you get here
- Do not expect things to be the same as back home
- Find the Welcome to Canada service close to you and register for Job Search Workshop
- Go classes and do the homework religiously
- Apply what you learnt to job searching, resumes, interviews

And you will get a job.
Even if you do not get a job exactly as your job title you wanted...try to get work in your field even if its not the same...
So that the Canadian Experience counts.. for your next job.

it is possible. there are good and bad stories you will hear.
But really your future is in your hands.
What you put in is what you will get out.

I just wanted to share my experience here, because when I was waiting on CIC for results, I wanted to heard people's stories who already migrated and see what it was like for them.
I hope others can benefit from this.

Awesome +1
