I live in UK and sent my and my wife's passport through DHL to India on 6th March. It reached there on 9th March and my dad submitted it at Mumbai VAC on 10th March. I am currently waiting for it to be stamped. I sent CSE to NDVO twice however they did not respond so sent it through DHL.
Hope this helps..

Hi Bunz,

Thanks for your inputs. Just a couple of things:-
1) Is it ok to get visa stamped in India when you are not in the country?
2) Is it safe to courier your passports?
3) If I raise a CSE and after my passport reaches India if they ask me to get stamped here in SA do I have to get the passports back here and get it stamped? How long should I wait after raising CSE before I decide to go to india for stamping?

Regards,
Prasanna

Dear Friends,

Can we raise CSE to NDVO about whether they have received Fees/PCC?

Regards

May sound silly but I see no harm in trying.

Take a print of the earlier raised CSE.
Visit the Canada Embassy in SA.
Apprise them of your situation and the non response on your CSE.
They may simply take you PP and give visa the same day.

No harm in trying eh !!

Hi,

Thanks for the info. How do I write to NDVO? Do you have an e-mail address to which I can write to or do I have to raise a CSE? I had already raised a CSE while my meds were done and also sent a letter requesting for visa stamping in SA but they have sent PPR for NDVO only. Can you please let me know if I should raise another CSE or can write to them through a different address?
Also how long should i wait for the response before I make a decision to go to India for visa stamping?
Thanks once again,
Prasanna

Unfortunately NDVO does not provide any ack.
It's written on the CSE page.
If it's a draft, get it checked with your bank and if CC, they they already have you payment.
All the best.

If a person is coming from Visa exempt country, does the Visa Office still require from them to send the passport to VO for stamping or they just receive a document to their home address when the PR process is done?
Thanks.

I guess you meant Passport and not password ;D.
Yes, it still needs to be sent. Vo will validate it and share COPR with the passport (unstamped) back.

1) I don't think there's any problem in it. My passport is already at NDVO for stamping.
2). Yes, it is safe. Sent it via DHL. It is legal. I checked it with them before sending.
3). From my personal experience, NDVO does not respond to CSE's. I sent it twice and never got a reply. Even if they reply and ask you to submit at SA embassy, you can still get it stamped from NDVO if your passport is in India.

I received my FBI PCC in 1.5 months. As far as I remember I was able to track somewhere online as well.
I applied sometime in May.

Thanks SethiCanada for the info. Do you know how you got the FBI PCC tracking number?

Hello Friend,

1. No we don't get any intimation. Alternately you could call them and find out if it has been despatched to you.
2. We don't get any tracking number. Max expected is 3 weeks.
3. Don't know.

Btw, am a Dec 8th FBI applicant too. I called them on Monday and go to know that my report has been despatched on Monday. Am waiting to recieve it too at my India address.

Thanks
