Yes friend it's the same mail id.
If you use outlook. Have a rule to filter out all ".gc.ca" domain mails.

VFS Submission Experience

Friends,
We decided to go early in Nehru place Canada VFS center. We drove all the way, though the office is just next to metro station. They asked us to keep the belongings outside except the documents, phone and wallet. We got the token and queued up. Ok another sad point was the decision to click the photo there itself. i thought they will be professional. I was stunned by the sleepy looking guy who charged us almost double than any normal photograph with 2005 era digi cam. And to my surprise none of their staff or this gentleman were aware of the photograph needs to be stamped with photo studio address etc. So I did the honour (hand writing everything). Then called up on desk 1, he quickly prepared the file, then was made to wait for another 40 mins before next call and fee was paid and tracking number was given.

So things not to do there, take your own photos from your known studio and they dont have a printer (Xerox machine is available though).

I don't know if LVO is different, but LVO didn't ask me for any stamps on photos in their email, they just asked for name and app ID. In fact I got my passport photos from a photobooth machine so there's no way to get it stamped. My experience at Canada Visa Application Center (CVAC) in London was very nice. I walked into the CVAC, it was empty. There was one punjabi guy sitting on a desk working with a candidate for tourist visa. As soon as I entered visa office, tourist visa guy was done with his application so I walked straight to that guy sitting on his desk.

I told him I am here to submit passports for Federal Skilled Worker Program application. He said, "We don't accept it here, sir!" LOL! For a moment I was bit concerned if I walked into a different country's VFS branch or if I made a fool of myself by applying to some fraudulent immigration scam which in reality didn't exist ! I then decided to try out a different way of explaining him. I said I'm here for Permanent Residence application.

He said, "Oh PR applikashon, ye bolo na sir, habe a sit habe sit sir"!

I gave him documents and photographs, he kindly bought out a sharp weapon called scissor and cut my 4 photographs into individual pieces. Then he put everything in the envelope, gave me 2 out of 4 photos back and gave me a recite asking to pay £17 for services, I bought out my card, he said "we don't accept Amex sir", then I bought out another card and paid with chip and pin, entire process took about 5 minutes! I said good buy and then I returned to my office.

No dear you dont need uk transit visa if you have any canada visa

Yes, 5th line is updated when you land. It confirms the port and date you landed on.

Not sure how long the data is available though. But for sure till landing, e-CAS is live.
