Yes, 5th line is updated when you land. It confirms the port and date you landed on.

Not sure how long the data is available though. But for sure till landing, e-CAS is live.

I've a couple of meaningless but curious questions. Please answer them at your leisure!

Is there a thing called 5th line Update on ECAS? i.e. Does ECAS status update after Decision Made?

And how long is this info available on ECAS? i.e. Does my ECAS status die after few days or weeks?

IF WE ARE TRAVELLING VIA LONDON HEATHROW AIRPORT ON BRITISH AIRWAYS FLIGHT DO WE REQUIRE A TRANSIT VISA?BECOZ I SAW THERE IS AN EXEMPTION FOR PEOPLE WITH PR CARD BUT WE DO NOT HAVE IT NOW NA...KINDLY CONFIRM.

If your flight is just via London, then no..u dont need transit visa but if your planning to be in london(moving out of london airport) and then go to Canada, then u would need it

If name on passpoprt and Visa dont match, dont take chances. It could be a issue at immigration counter.
You can walk in to the VO with this issue and they should cancel this visa with a Cancelled wiithout prejudice stamp and re-issue a new one with the right details on the same date.

Hi ,

If the Name on the Visa issued on the passport is jumbled. I mean if the first name is in the last name and last name in the middle name will it be an issue while filing for the PR card. ? Also can we get it changed when we are getting are Visa Stamped after landing?

5th line update is "Completed".. once you land at Canada and the visa officer have stamped ur PR

2)i want paid DD. so attached a scaned DD copy , do you mean it?

that's right if u are inside airport only its is not require.... +++ the flight should be connected for final destination.....

For UK, my understanding was that, if you arent moving out of the airport, a transit Visa is not needed.

Does anyone know what is GO-ePR?

VFS Submission Experience

Friends,
We decided to go early in Nehru place Canada VFS center. We drove all the way, though the office is just next to metro station. They asked us to keep the belongings outside except the documents, phone and wallet. We got the token and queued up. Ok another sad point was the decision to click the photo there itself. i thought they will be professional. I was stunned by the sleepy looking guy who charged us almost double than any normal photograph with 2005 era digi cam. And to my surprise none of their staff or this gentleman were aware of the photograph needs to be stamped with photo studio address etc. So I did the honour (hand writing everything). Then called up on desk 1, he quickly prepared the file, then was made to wait for another 40 mins before next call and fee was paid and tracking number was given.

So things not to do there, take your own photos from your known studio and they dont have a printer (Xerox machine is available though).
