Buddy as per my experience they are not checking anything for past surgeries they just asked verbally and what to reveal and what not just ask your family friend as they have your urine and blood to test so I am not sure how much they will reveal ... here test was like ... blood test , urine test , blood pressure test , xray , weight , hight and eyes test so just ask your family doctor about it .. they will suggest you better then us .... but i am sure for TB they will ask you to get some more tests done but the best pasrt is you can complete those tests on the same day ... If the X-Ray give then some indication of TB then will ask you to go for test in 3-4 months duration ... TB scares them more then anything not sure why :)
I had soft tissue TB history, informed the Doc during medical, He did a bit more stretching on physical checks.. asking to bend/squat/get up and the likes but no more tests or anything as I informed him I had 6 month TB medicines completed 5 years back..

I would love to take all of them but just not sure if i take it more than $10000 then there will be any issue?
Can you give me idea of what to do if i want to take it all?

you could tell the cbsa that u want to link your bank account with canadian bank account you going to open if the officer insists
,,,,but i would say make a draft of that money too

There is almost no limit to the amount of settlement funds you can carry. Best part, none of that is taxable in the first financial year.
Anything above CAD 10,000 needs to be declared. If you have taken foreign travel's before. Remember those form's airline guy's hand us which we give to Immigration/Custom's. That's it.

You can carry money in form of Cash, Travellers cheque or a CAD bank account.

Nova Scotia bank in tie up with Kotak Mahindra Bank offers the "Start Right Program" in India where you can have an account before you reach, also do a one time transfer and get a statement to show it at immigration. Once you reach Canada, you visit the branch to activate your account and start using it.

Hi Friend, in no way your over weight causes problem in Medical tests.

They will juz take your wt, ht, BP, sugar test, ECG and blood sample.

In blood they test HIV and syphilis which can be sexually transmitted. That's all.

No problem if you have high/low BP, diabetes etc. when asked tell them if you are under any medication for such things.

Do not worry at all.

All the best

Cheers,
Prarthu

That's no problem. I am also overweight by 11 odd kilo's and wife was underweight. Our meds were fine.

Your extra weight is not gonna have any negative impact on your medical.
