+1 to you rejiss

rejiss is right. A small addition. Re entry by road to Canada is possible without PR card and even by flight, some documentation with the home country Canadian VO can allow you re entry, but is tedious and best avoided.

Thanks CanOl...+1 reciprocated!!

Thanks GOKU.

I Have two questions.
(1) How is ur landing experience in Canada ? I have shared my experience here: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/fsw-2014-applicants-timeline-lets-network-here-t199004.193830.htm
(2) how can I change setting to my forum profile? After replying or post, my profile is redirecting on home page not in current page. I want to change this setting. I really am not sure how to change that setting

Nitin, just FYI, although the academic year starts in September every year, you can admit your child as soon as you land except for July and August as it is vacation. You don't have to wait till September for admission. Immigrants are allowed admission to schools throughout the year.

Thanks dear...

Hi Goku/Diplo/canOl and other experienced members. Need Help

I got my GCMS today.
E-cas 3rd line updated on 5th Jan 2015.

While I still am trying to understand the file. The latest note entry on 9th Feb say's " File requested for RFV check"

Does that imply that the VO has asked for a second opinion on the case?
How frequent is this?

I believe RFV is Ready for Visa email (PPR)

You got right buddy. RFV is indeed "Ready for Visa". You should get PPR in next or 2nd batch for sure. +1 and its 100 for you.

Here is why I am sweating.

1- Note says the File requested for RFV check and not something like RFV issuance.

2- The Physical file movement shows latest entry with Open status as - ECU-RFV.

I read somewhere the ECU stands for Elimination Care Unit which is very critical in application screening.

That has got me S @ #% scared.

Please tell me I am wrong.

I do see some old entries as ECU- PA(Same date as MR request) and ECU -EDO(same date as processing start) too.

I want to share my experience before 2 nd line
I have received a call to my office and I have picked up the call, they have asked about me and I have told them this xxxxx what do you want. They have asked me about my supervisor and owner company and I told them every thing. They told me its a marketing call and asked me to confirm the email address of my boss and mine. I have told them every thing and before Disconnecting the phone they have not even answered my question o who are you. I have got my second line update after couple of days. From this experience I can conclude if that was a verification call, then they do it before 2 nd line update and they are keeping a time line of 30 days to issue MR. I have an assumption that in recent times its taking lot of time from MR to PPR they are extending the time frame between 2line and MR. Its just my analysis .

adding on to your experience I had someone from ottawa canada who visited my profile and thn my 2nd line was updated....I m just assuming that they checked my profile online and thn they updated my 2nd line.....also now time b/w MR to PPR will decrease and 2nd line to MR time has lately increased.....I think there are lot like me waiting for MR....I hv been waiting for MR for more than 30days now....reasons known to ndvo....we hv no option but to keep patience....and wait for the news...god bless

ECU-RFV means "ECONOMIC CLASS UNIT - READY FOR VISA". Once check is done it will change to "RVF Check Completed". Nothing to be scared of bro. You are almost done. :)

Thanks for taking that burden off my head bud.
I feel relieved now.
First I get 59 pages of acronyms and then I google to get some weird explanations and that is where I lost it.

+1 for you help as always.

Hello everyone,

Quick question.

I am submitting my FBI clearance certificate today and that is the final document I have to send. Now, we are expecting our baby number 2 in July at what point in time I should tell Visa officer about it?

Will they make decision on my case before my child is born or they will defer the decision after my child is born?

Anybody in same situation?

What is your timeline and current country of Residence ?
