As a UCI has not been assigned to you yet, thus the CIC operator may not have been able to get your details.
CIC loosing or forgetting application sounds too far fetched.

NOC - 1212, CIC app received date - Dec18, Payment mode - DD
I checked with my bank and as off Mar 3rd my DD has still not been en-cashed. I called CIC yesterday and the agent asked me only for my full name and date of birth. After checking he told me that he is not able to locate my details in the system. What does this mean?????? Is my package not yet opened itself????? DHL has confirmed the delivery so I hope CIC has not lost or forgotten my application.
P
Anyone else has a similar experience or know of someone who has encountered the same??? I remember seeing a post from a UK applicant who also applied on the same NOC and app reached CIC on Dec18 and his DD en-cashed on Feb20. Any advise appreciated (just to keep me from going nuts) :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-X :-X :-X :-X

Hey everybody,
I'm thrilled to say I went to SPVO today to pick up our passports with the beautiful Canadian Visa stamped on it.
I couldn't be happier. I would like to thank everyone for your support, for all the knowledge I got from the immigration process and from Canada, and for all the encouraging words I got.
My timeline is on the left. I was extremely lucky to have such a fast process! 134 days / 4 months and 11 days from Application Received to Passport Back is just amazing!
But to me, the most impressive info is that my wife and I only decided we wanted to move away from Brazil on July 2014. We decided we wanted to go to Canada on August 1st, and we were lucky enough that everything turned out just perfect for us. In order:
- We discovered that Canada had an open immigration policy for a few classes of Immigrants;
- We discovered that there was a program open at the time called Federal Skilled Worker that was a match for us;
- We found out that my NOC was on that list – for the first time – and there were enough spots left;
- We could arrange for all documents just in time to apply; ECA, IELTS, TEF....
- CIO processed our applications in just 90 days until PER (even if it seemed an eternity!);
- We got the fastest MR on the book – only 15 days after PER (we weren't expecting it yet!);
- We got our PPR very quickly after our exams – only 22 days after MR (but it looked like ages to us!);
As somebody said, I must have been born with a Silver Spoon on my mouth!
I wish you all the best of luck, the smoothest possible process and a great life in Canada!
Medicals valid for 1 year from recd at vo date. If you are getting meds done upfront without mr, there is a risk of you getting lesser time for moving to Canada once you get PR. Also in case the app gets rejected, the money and time spent on meds will be a waste. So do it at your own risk. Also meds need to be done for every dependent minor and adult, whether accompanying or not.Xavier Sharma said:Also does anyone know how long Medicals are valid for?
Is their any value in getting medicals arranged before we are requested them by our local VO?
Also is there a requirement for a medicals for babies, children less than 2 years old?
Thanks in advance

No this will not gona make any difference until you showed them the required funds.civilengr said:hope some-one would be able to give their views about this. I had submitted my arranged employment documents along with Post graduate work permit and few days back I had received an email to submit 6 months transaction statements to show the settlement funds and having only 30 days for it.
Since I came to know about this after receiving PER so I was not ready for it, if I make all the transactions now in one account from different sources (like foreign currency, sold gold, emergency cash) within 15 days , (I have made the transactions in one account already) The account has been active for 2 years but I have made major transactions to show the required amount in two weeks.
will it going to effect the visa officer decision?
